Archni was stepping out of city hall as he sees Yangyang and Chixia there, where they're on a holographic call with Baizhi. Which he gone and approach.
Yangyang: I see. Yes... I can feel the tension in the Streams. I'm worried something bad is going to happen...
Chixia then notice Archni coming as she calls out to him. "There you are, Rover!" "Sorry for keeping you two waiting. Did something happen?" Archni asks while Baizhi spoke.
Baizhi: The Academy has noted a concerning rise in Tacet Field activities. Please use caution when exiting the city.
Archni: Thanks for the warning.
There was no response as she continued on."Remember to check your Terminal signals, and wear the Academy's protective suit correctly. Also don't forget to stay hydrated. Now, I have experiments to run. Take care."
The call ends as Archni then question what was that about. "Was that a voicemail message? It felt like she was responsive and not at the same time."
Chixia: It's just Baizhi being Baizhi. She's a little awkward with showing care, but I think it's cute! Anyway! Rover, quick, tell us what happened!
Archni gave them a brief run down of the meeting with Jinhsi, but didn't mention Jué's disappearance. As Chixia comment on what she heard. "The Fractsidus again? Ugh, those jerks!"
Archni: Jiyan the General, Jinhsi the Magistrate, and Jué, Jinzhou's Sentinel... Is there any kind of connection between them?
Chixia: Connection? No idea, but I did hear General Jiyan used to be a military doctor...
Yangyang walked closer and share her thoughts. "Hmm... Speaking of that, I think we'll need to start with a bit of Jinzhou's past. A storyteller near the theater once told us something like this..."
The three head to the theater which the storyteller there, tells the tale. "The honorable Madam Jinhsi, our great magistrate of Jinzhou, was hand picked by Sentinel Jué. Her status as the Sentinel's Appointed Resonator is rare among all past magistrates. Our Jinzhou was leaderless for years until Jué finally chose her to be the next Magistrate, and she answered the call."
Storyteller's narration: To further elaborate, we must start with the "Battle Beneath the Crescent"... The Norfall Barrens, scarred by countless wars... Discarded weapons scattered like bones. Our soldiers had fought to reclaim the land for years, to no avail.
