One Last Time

Mornings Suck

The light hurts. I guess it's morning again. Hooray. Why can't the world just go away? I want it to be dark all the time. Just like my heart I guess. God Alexis why do you have to be so negative? Great, another argument with myself I guess. I want food. Ugh. That means I have to get out of bed. "Bye my love." I said, throwing my covers off. Luckily, today was summer. Which I completely forgot about. No people, no teachers, no work, oh yeah and no people. I. Hate. People. As you can tell I'm very antisocial. It's kind of my thing. Anyways, grandma was still sleeping, so I tiptoed past her room. Then my 5 year old soul takes over. I like to do this thing every morning-and I mean every morning- where I do the "scoot" down the stairs like a, well, 5 year old. I call it, "The Lexi Scoot". Don't ask because I have no idea. Not the kind of scoot where you slide down the railing like a "cool" teenager, but the one where you sit down on the top step of the stairs and fall down on your butt. Yep. That's the 5 year old in me. Well I guess I never properly introduced myself. My name is Alexis. Alexis Sterling. And you'll never guess what my middle name is. Samantha. Not the fact that I have a very typical name, but my initials. Yep. I have some pretty messed up parents. I'll talk about them later. Anyways, I'm not your normal 16 year old. I'm what people at my school call "fake" or "loser" and many, many more. Okay so about my parents. My dad was one of those abusive dads, he just never got caught. When I was about 5 my mom was arrested for drinking and driving. Then, when I was almost 6, my dad commuted suicide because the cops were after him. Then, I was put in custody of my moms mom, or my grandma. 2 years after my dad being gone, my mom was let of jail but put on probation. She's been in 9 different rehabs ever since. Yep. That's my parents. Okay I guess you've heard enough about me now. Cinnamon toast, here I come.
