Performing at the local bar had always been my favorite part of the week, but tonight felt different. As I took the stage and started singing, I noticed a familiar face in the crowd—Jack Champion. I'd heard all the stories and seen his movies, but seeing him in person was something else entirely. Our eyes met, and I felt a jolt of electricity. His intense gaze made my heart race, and I couldn't help but smile. As I continued my set, I found myself drawn to him in a way I couldn't quite explain. After my performance i found myself wandering over to where he was sitting.
"Wow i didn't expect to see you here tonight, what brings you to this corner of this world" i ask with a smile on my face trying to keep cool calm and collected but i can already feel my cheeks turning red.

"Well..i'm actually filming a movie here, but i've heard so many things about you around town, you're Madelyn Baker right?" he asks without breaking eye contact.
"Yeah..i am actually, wait how did you know that?" i say while my eyes are dotting around the room desperately trying to spot my best friend Gianna.
"Well i guess that's not you over there then." he says nodding his head towards the huge posters with my name and picture covering the room, I cover my face with my hands. "Yeah that's me," i say, feeling a little embarrassed. "i guess those posters are a bit of a giveaway."
Jack chuckles "Don't worry it's pretty cool. So what type of music do you usually perform?"
"Mostly Indie and folk. i love connecting to the audience through my lyrics," i reply finally spotting gianna in the crowd. "That's awesome, can't wait to see you performing live." Jack says, his eyes still locked on mine. "To be honest performing in front of bigger crowds always makes me a bit anxious, I don't know there's just something so comforting knowing everyone and the little hidden spots." i say. "i can see that, there's a certain magic to small towns, so do you perform here often?" he says still maintaining eye contact. "Every week, actually. it's my favourite part of the week. Music has always been my escape, you know?"
"I get that, acting is the same for me it's like stepping into another world." he says, "So do you write your own songs?"
"i do! i've been writing since i was a kid actually."
We continued talking about everything and anything through out the rest of the night,it was like we had known each other forever. "hey, if you're free tomorrow maybe we could grab a coffee or something?" i say taking my phone out of my back pocket, Jacks face lights up. "Yeah i'd love that" he says grabbing his phone out of his coat pocket.

"this your account?" he asks handing me his phone

"Looking forward to it"
"Me too," he replies grinning. We share a final glance before heading our separate ways.
