Someone proposed that it could therapeutic
And so she took to doing thisShe didn't draw too many things
Just several with a recurrent subject
(herself mostly)She'd deem them "strange"
Certainly, as most of them are nightmarish
But, still, she drew picturesGetting some things out of her system
As one does when recoveringIn one occasion,
She drew herself with cracks
Fractures like the ones in glass or pottery
However, someone saw themTelling her "You're missing something."
Before coloring them in with a gold pen
"You're broken but you're beautiful."
Something about that made her feel better
This was an act of kintsugi, a form of "wabi-sabi"
A philosophy that this one livedIt's therapeutic to draw pictures
She was broken in a way with "cracks" in her being
And her loved ones knew thatColoring in the cracks with a gold pen
Is, concretely, an act of love
She is broken butShe is beautiful
