She took to drawing pictures
Someone proposed that it could therapeutic
And so she took to doing this

She didn't draw too many things
Just several with a recurrent subject
(herself mostly)

She'd deem them "strange"
Certainly, as most of them are nightmarish
But, still, she drew pictures

Getting some things out of her system
As one does when recovering

In one occasion,

She drew herself with cracks
Fractures like the ones in glass or pottery
However, someone saw them

Telling her "You're missing something."

Before coloring them in with a gold pen

"You're broken but you're beautiful."

Something about that made her feel better
This was an act of kintsugi, a form of "wabi-sabi"
A philosophy that this one lived

It's therapeutic to draw pictures
She was broken in a way with "cracks" in her being
And her loved ones knew that

Coloring in the cracks with a gold pen
Is, concretely, an act of love
She is broken but

She is beautiful
