Background:
Growing up, Carter had a good life, his sisters, Anne and Bailey were always there for him. Making sure he did ok in school, and making sure he had friends.
Carter would always go straight home after school to help with the ranch. He'd always drive the cattle back into their little areas, feed the chickens, and all that other stuff. If his stuff was done in time, he'd go visit the local saloon to watch his sister Bailey sing, and his mom serve tables.
When Carter had finally turned 15, Anne had split. She started working as a bounty hunter. He didn't see her much. But it didn't stop him from wanting to be just like her. "Being a bounty hunter?! That's so cool!" he thought. So everyday after school, after getting his chores done, he'd work out. In the morning, at night. He'd do whatever he could to get stronger.
By the time Carter was 18, his mother, Emily, had gotten sick.....really sick. Everyone originally thought she just had the common cold, but she had been bed ridden for days. Always tired, coughing, aching, she could barely even walk on her own. When the doctor was brought in, it took a little bit of time to identify what was wrong. But he soon figured out it was a form of heart disease. Something, at the time, everyone thought was curable. The doctor gave Emily some medicine for free, at first, but as time went on and she needed more of it, the Reeves family money was going down the drain, due to how expensive it was.
So, Carter decided to take on some bounty jobs. And he's been doing it for 4 years. Unfortunately, he doesn't know that when he gets back from his latest bounty, his mother will have already passed.
