"It's so crazy how much has happened in the six months since we got together," Talia tells Shawn as they sit at a table in the Brady Pub having tequila shots.
"You're not wrong about that."
"I never thought for a moment that the night Chanel dumped me would change my life for the better."
"Yeah, and I never thought that when I was drowning my sorrows with you after Victor's funeral that night, we would be where we are now," Shawn tells his girlfriend.
"Let's be honest, we both thought that after one too many tequilas, all this was ever going to be was a one-night stand," Talia comments, and the pair share a chuckle.
"Yes, we did, but I also kind of expected that after Belle found out what happened that night, it would be over for us."
"Look, I get that, and don't get me wrong, I'm happy that we are together, but I was surprised that she wasn't as forgiving as you were all those times she cheated on you," Talia admits.
"That's just what she's like," Shawn says to her as he downs a tequila shot.
"Trust me, I learned that quickly," Talia says, and once again, the pair chuckle.
"I'm sorry you've had to learn it quickly."
"Look, it's not entirely your fault. Remember, it's also mine. After all, she came into the station to serve you with divorce papers, and I was there."
"Yeah, I remember, considering that was the day we admitted how we felt about each other."
"It was."
"Nothing has changed since that day in relation to my feelings about you. If anything, they've gotten stronger and stronger each day," Shawn tells Talia as he reaches for her hand.
"Mine have gotten stronger as well."
"That actually brings me to a question I have for you," Shawn says.
"What is it?"
"Well, as I just said, my feelings are growing stronger for you, and so is my love. I want to make it lifelong and official," Shawn begins.
"What are you saying?" Talia asks as Shawn kneels down on one knee.
"What I'm saying is that I want you to become my wife. Talia Hunter, will you marry me?" Shawn asks, posing the life-changing question.
"Yes, Shawn Douglas Brady, I will," Talia replies, and the pair kiss.
