I wake up in my new bedroom feeling like royalty. It's hard to believe that on Monday, I'll be starting at Orgon Prestigious High School. Maybe this change is exactly what I needed in my life. Maybe there will even be some good-looking girls for my brother so that I won't have to deal with any inappropriate behavior again! Glancing at the clock above the door, I see that it's 8 am. It was too early for my parents to be awake, so I decided to take the opportunity to explore my new room.

I hop out of bed and open a drawer on the nightstand. Inside, I find a thank-you note. Walking over to the dresser, I'm impressed by its beauty. It's adorned with intricate floral designs and is quite spacious. Then, I noticed a mini office table by the door. Opening the large drawer, I find a brand-new laptop. I can't help but wonder if it's for me. Without hesitation, I pick it up and find a thank-you note from the apartment's previous owner, stating that it's a gift for purchasing the apartment. I guess it's mine now. It's my first personal piece of technology.

After setting the laptop aside, I decided to check out the bathroom and closet, which are positioned on the left side of the bed. Opening the closet, I'm delighted to find a good-sized walk-in closet. It might not be as huge as the ones in the master bedrooms, but it's still impressive. I wonder if I even have enough clothes to fill one corner of the closet. The bathroom is of average size with all the essentials.

As I start to hear yawns and good mornings from my parents and brother as they make their way downstairs, my mom once again starts to praise my brother. Do they ever stop?

"This house is like a dream, Dave," she exclaims. "That's why you're the favorite child. I'm sorry we had to bring your sister, but you know how those laws are."

"It's fine, Mother," Dave replies, "don't worry. Now that we're living the good life, you need to turn Ece into your perfect daughter so she won't embarrass you and so that you can receive compliments. That girl has the looks."

"He's right, honey," my dad chimes in. "Make her more beautiful and marry her off to one of those wealthy politicians, and then we're all set."

As my mom mutters, "EVE! WAKE YOUR SLEEPY SELF UP! COME AND HELP ME COOK!" I know it's my cue to leave. I open the door and shout, "COMING!" and then make my way to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. After everyone finishes eating, my brother looks up at me.

"Eat faster. We need to go get our school uniforms," he says before getting up. Since he got that promotion, he hasn't come into my room. I mean, the laws against predators are strong here unless you're wealthy enough to bypass them. He's a clever one. I quickly finish eating and then head to my luggage to find something decent to wear.

After getting ready, I head to the car where my brother is waiting. We start driving, and alas, we arrive at a fancy-looking boutique. I step out and just look at it. DAMN! Am I even able to step in there with a cheap flower-patterned dress? Oh well, I guess.
"You go ahead," Dave says, "I'm going to be cross the street picking up my new suits." He walks away, leaving me alone with this beautiful piece of art.

The security guard at the door glances at me with a questioning look. I quickly get the hint and walk inside. The inside was way prettier than the outside by a lot. The walls were made of marble. Yes, you heard me, MARBLE! There were different uniforms and outfits in here. Getting paid to make uniforms for the most high-class kids in the world is no joke. Is it?

"Excuse me, can I help you," a lady dressed in all black walks up to me. She must work here.
"Oh yes, I need my uniforms for Orgon High," I say with a smile. She looks at me up and down. Excuse me? Was she judging me on my appearance?
"Mm, ok, come this way," she says, leading me to the front desk where another lady was standing. "This girl is here for her uniforms to OPH."
"Her?" The other girl looks at me up and down. Seriously, where are their manners? The least they could know is that I'm richer than their whole family.
Well, I'm not, but still. They dare to talk about me in front of my face.
"Excuse me, can I like to get my uniforms?" I say a little harshly but with a nice smile. They looked at each other before one of them went to get it.
"Say you do look familiar at all, little one," the one at the counter says, "you must be new in town. Let me guess. Judging by your appearance, you are an upcoming teen actress. No model. It's hard to say, but having royal blue eyes while being light-skinned is unique. Goes well with your curly hair."

She smiles as she touches my hair. I'm speechless, I got at least 7 compliments from that statement. God, what is happening today? I was always called a freak for being black with blue eyes. But now everyone is complimenting me.
"Well, I-" I get interrupted by the other lady walking back.
"Eve Losu?" She asks.
"Yes, that's me," I replied, taking them from her. Just then, a car pulls up. A white limo, to be exact. A girl walks out of it with two bodyguards.

"Ugh, I will fire that maid for sure! If only she knew how to do her job, then I would be coming in here," she tells someone on her phone. She looks around my age. Her hair is dyed light pink.
"Like why would she wash my clothes with a $50 detergent? Like, does she want me to get sick or something?" The fuck she mean $50? The most expensive detergent my family ever used was $30. Now that I look at her closely I see what's up. 4k Chanel purse, Ugg Boots, and I don't even know what fashion she got her clothes from, but all I could say is that they cost more than my parent's medical insurance.
"What is the hold up I'm here for I knew uniforms,' She screams at the ladies. They quickly rush to go get them. And I took that as my cue to leave. I slowly but steadily exit the boutique. My brother pulls up a few minutes later.

After heading home, I go into my room to check out my new uniforms. Since school only started a few weeks ago, I'm not too much of a wallflower yet.

The fall uniform was an orange-brownish color that was cute. It had a white and gold outline. There was a skirt that matched the orange-brownish theme with gold outlines.
The winter one was like the ones you see in the movie. The black fancy jacket and the plain white long-sleeved shirt underneath with a bow around the neck. The skirt was a plaid skirt that was navy blue and black.
The spring one was a white short-sleeved shirt with a black outline. The skirt was black with white outlines.
The summer one was a bright red with a matching red skirt.

All of them were of high quality. Judging by how that girl reacted at the store, these things are no joke. I put them in my closet where they are safe. I'm praying the kids don't notice my shoes. I head to my laptop and search for my old school's name. Reading through the article, the case was quickly closed as an accident, considering they had problems with that tree for a while. Wow, I guess I'm off the hook. It's been a seriously long day, and I need my sleep.
I can't wait to start in the new school!
