I haven't gotten out of bed since we went to Wanda's grave, that was a week ago. But of course I get up to take a shower. Kate has been trying to get me out of the hotel everyday. No luck. I look out my hands and quickly get up. "Kate I think It's going away." Kate gets up from the floor, we was getting clothes out, and takes my hands.
"How did you not notice this before?" She asks. I shrug, "I don't like to be reminding of them so I haven't been looking." I say with a slight smile on my face. She gets up and kisses me. "Do you know what caused them to get better?" She asks.
I shake my head. I had no idea that they started to fade, or even when. "Okay maybe we just need to redo everything we did this pass week to see if it fades more." One problem. "I haven't done anything this week. Maybe it happened before." I said. Kate nods and throws a shirt and pants to me. I give her a confused look. "We have been here for a week, we were supposed to go to Agatha's." she said.
I totally forgot. I get up and walk to the bathroom. After about 30 minutes, I get out with the clothes Kate picked out for me and my hair still wet. I was trying to dry it with my towel. Kate looks up from her phone and smirks at me. "You look so hot with your hair wet." She said getting up and walking towards me. I smile at her and go to kiss her. She grabs my face and walks backwards to the bed.
I climb on top of her, but soon pull away. She whines, "Why did you do that?" She asks. "We have to go, my love." I climb off of her and pack my clothes. She playfully rolls her eyes and finishes packing her bag too. We leave the room, I grab her bag so she can check out of the hotel. I open the trunk of the car and stuff our things in there. When I close it I see a figure at the other end of the parking lot.
Mom? The woman looks just like her. Her hair bright red with white at the end. I heard a voice behind me, I turned around to see Kate with a waffle and a cup of coffee in her hands. I look back at the figure but it was gone. "You okay?" Kate asks. I grab the coffee from her hands, "I thought I saw my mom." Kate looks at where I was looking and looked back at me. "It's probably a effect of the Dark Hold."
"Yeah maybe." I said before getting a waffle stuffed in my face. "Try it, it's so good." Kate exclaims. I smile and take a bite. I nod and head to the drivers seat. "You sure you wanna be driving." Kate says while getting in the passenger seat. "You always drive, plus I know where her house is." I say, driving out the parking lot.
After a hour of driving, I pull over to go use the bathroom at a gas station. Kate had decided to turn up the radio. That's when she heard the announcement. "Wanted fugitives known had Iskra Romanoff and Kate Bishop. Last seen at a hotel in upstate New York." Kate heart drops, she looks around to see that there was cops down the street heading towards the gas station. She gets out the car with her hat. She rushed in the store and heads to the back, banging on the restroom door.
"One minute." I say. Kate bangs again, seeing the cops in the store. "Get out Iskra." She demands. I finally get out the bathroom. "What happened?" I ask. She takes off her hat and places it on my head, pulling it down to hid my face. She then pulls up her hood and drags my towards the door. We get stopped at the door. "Excuse me ladies, but have you two seen these fugitives?" He asks while holding up a picture with both of our faces.
We are doomed, I stayed looking at the floor when Kate had said something. "So sir, we haven't." I looked up to see that she looked like a completely different person. I look at a mirror that was next to the door to see that I looked like someone else too. "Okay then, you two have a blessed day." The officer said before walking away to talk to the clerk. Kate pulls me to the car and takes off the disguises and turn on the car.
"How did you put that disguise on me?" I asked. "When I put the hat on. Shield made a new and improved one so you didn't have to put a whole mask on." The cops looked back at us through the window. I guess the clerk told them that he saw us. "Kate drive now." I said sternly. She reversed out of the parking lot and raced down the high way. The cops chased after us.
"This kinda reminds me of Budapest." I say looking behind us. Kate laughs a bit, "This reminds me of New York." I look back at her with a confused face. "Oh yeah, me and Clint were racing down the streets of New York with the tracksuit mafia behind us." I smiled and looked back to see more cop cars behind us. "Oh god." I roll my eyes before sticking half of my body out the window. Kate grabbing onto my legs to make sure I don't fall.
I throw energy magic at them before going back into the car and grabbing Kates bag. "I don't have anything in there." She states. "I don't need any weapons." I say before grabbing a perfume bottle and transforming it into a rifle. "DON'T KILL THEM." Kate yells. "I'm not, Katie." I say before shooting one police car wheels, also shooting one of their guns out of their hands while trying to shoot back at us.
"How did you not shoot their hand?" Kate asks while I turn the rifle into a bomb. "Practice." I shrug before throwing the grenade at a near by phone tower. Right when we pass it, the grenade blows up and the phone tower tips over blocking the cops from chasing us. "God that was hot." Kate says before holding her heart. I smile at her and signal for her to exit the high way.
