During that moment, Augite had already made his way to the Sheriff's office, and was standing around, waiting for someone to respond. He felt time seem to slog on for a little bit slower than he was comfortable with. Was the Sheriff that busy? And if so, what was he doing? He felt very uneasy about this.

Then after some time passed, a figure came finally walking back to him. "Deputy Augite? Sheriff Yarrow is indisposed right now."

Augite growled as he realized that Yarrow was busy and he couldn't get rid of the feeling that he did that on purpose. He gingerly reached out to the secretary and tried to talk to her about it. "Flint? I mean... I know that those outsiders look different than us and came here. But I want to say that they're not bad people. A-at least let them out to get back to the stars."

Flint nodded in agreement, but she knew that it wasn't going to be easy to convince Yarrow about it. But while she also wanted to set the four outsiders free, she knew that without Yarrow's consent, she would be breaking the law.

Augite gave a frustrated groan again.

He looked down as he reached into his pocket and produced the four magical shimmers he had on his person. Flint noticed the four silver dot-like charms in Augite's claws and nodded.

"Ah. I like that idea, to be honest." Flint commented, and Augite suddenly noticed, wanting to put the shimmers away into his pocket again, but Flint motioned to him that it was alright. Augite nodded back at her. "Don't knock your ideas, especially when things aren't going smoothly. They're still good ideas."

Augite nodded in acceptance. He picked up his motivation and courage and felt a renewed feeling hit him. "Yeah, you're right, Flint. Thank you."

"You're most welcome. I'll see if Yarrow's decided to emerge out of his own shadow now." Flint chuckled as she responded kindly. Flint walked off, flashing Augite a smile to comfort him. She knew he was married happily, but she felt obliged to help a fellow workmate in any situation, no matter what.

He casually leant against the wall and reached into another pocket on his overcoat with one of his clawed paws, and fished out a wallet. He flipped the wallet open and looked upon the picture inside it. It depicted himself and his family, all smiling happily together. He felt the profound sense of pride wash through him but... He linked back to what Starla said to him earlier for one second. Something about what Starla said about her family being always busy irked him a little bit.

"I know every family is unique, but what in the name of darkness would drive her to say that...?"

Eventually, after a few minutes, Flint returned with Yarrow. Augite looked up from looking at his wallet and swiftly put it back in his pocket. Yarrow adjusted his stetson hat in annoyance as he followed Flint over to him. "Now... What were ya thinking, Augite? Yes, Flint told me everything, and I'm wondering what could possess you to go and help strangers that we have no idea what they could do or why they came here. This is why we arrested them. Because we have no idea what they're gonna do."

"Well..." Augite knew he'd be breaking some laws and revealing them wouldn't do any good for his case, but he felt he had to speak his mind. "For starters, I found one but the youngster explained her case to me. It turns out she has a close friend of the family who is a wizard that was, well, is sick with wizard sickness. And she needed some Umbranite to cure him. That's all."

"Oh, really?" Yarrow responded, raising an eyebrow. "And where is this youngling now?"

"She went with my grandfather to the old Umbranite mine. Trust me, they're alright as far as I know." Augite explained. He secretly hoped that Starla and his grandfather were alright and they were going to arrive at the Sheriff's office soon to back up his story. Sheriff Yarrow looked on with an incredulous look.
