I don't own the Miraculous ladybug or Naruto. This is the rewrite of my story Peafowl of Kumo. It is inspired by Kumo Child of Prophecy by maddy.ff89

The Black Cat Miraculous was lost by the first Black Cat. Despite the Order of the Guardians' relentless efforts to recover it, their searches proved fruitless. As the centuries dragged on, hope dwindled, and they reluctantly concluded that the Black Cat Miraculous must have been destroyed. So the Order removed the Black Cat's ring from the records. In the Order of Guardians' eyes, the first Black Cat was the last.

"All I ever wanted was a child," Cadence whispered, her voice trembling as she knelt beside an empty crib in the dimly lit nursery. Her grey eyes glistened with unshed tears, and her brown hair cascaded over her shoulders.

Felix, standing beside her, placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. His blue eyes, full of pain, met hers. "Cadence," he said gently, his silver-blonde hair catching the faint light. "Please."

"I'm tired, Felix," Cadence continued, her voice breaking. "My wishes have been dashed over and over by miscarriages and stillbirths. I can't go on, Felix. I can't bear any more loss."

"I know," Felix replied softly. He knelt next to the crib, the weight of their shared grief pressing down on him. They had lost four children: two to miscarriages, one to a stillbirth, and another to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Felix took Cadence's hand, guiding her away from their tomb of shattered dreams.

During stormy night, Felix sat in the study of his cold manor, staring at the pictures of his parents. Thunder rumbled outside, echoing the turmoil within his heart. "All I want is a living child, I don't even care for gender, they can a girl or boy just as long as they live" he murmured to the empty room. "Nothing more, nothing less. Plagg told us about the wish, but for us to gain a child means someone else loses theirs. I can't condemn anyone to that fate, not after knowing the pain of losing a child."

The sudden chime of the doorbell jolted Felix from his thoughts. He quickly left the study and made his way to the entrance hall. Opening the grand doors, he was surprised to see Plagg, in his human form, holding the hand of a drenched young girl about seven years old. She had sunny blonde hair, sky-blue eyes, and whisker-like marks on her cheeks.

"Plagg, did you kidnap a child?" Felix asked, taking the girl into his arms to shield her from the storm.

Plagg transformed into his Kwami shape, hovering before Felix. "No, Felix," he explained. "This is Naruko. Her parents don't want her, and they allowed their people to abuse her. If her birth parents don't care, then she can be yours."

Felix looked at the girl, her small frame trembling with cold. "You can't replace a child, Plagg," he whispered.

"She isn't a replacement," Plagg insisted. "Blood adopt her, and she will be yours till the day she dies."

"No, Plagg," Felix began, but a voice interrupted him.

"Yes, Felix!" Cadence rushed down the stairs, her eyes wide with desperation and hope. She quickly embraced the girl. "Please. You know her story. Her parents don't want her. Let her be ours."in

Felix sighed deeply, his resolve crumbling. "What is your name?" he asked the girl gently.

"Namikaze Naruko," she replied, her voice small but clear.

"You are from this day onwards Evangelina Culpa, daughter of Felix Culpa and Cadence Culpa nee Winters. You are the heir apparent to the Culpa family. Do you accept, heir Culpa?" Felix asked, cutting his finger and Cadence's to fill a potion that Plagg had brought with their blood.
