«Still nothing?».
Horand's calm voice interrupts Ojtaro's thoughts immediately. No letters from Sentinekka. This is weird... He's sure that the Eden is not a place without messengers or birds that send letters.
«I'm getting worried. Again» he answers with a nervous stare. He was looking at the Temple of the Isle Elder from the staircase that leads the Children to it, in particular from the last step of that group of stones. «What if she's in danger and isn't able to write letters to us?».
«Oj', the Eden is not a harmless place, you know...» the brother tries to comfort him. «She probably doesn't have enough time. That journey is really long, we must wait».
«It's too much long...» Ojtaro comments while sitting on the staircase, in front of white and pretty clouds. «And I don't think that she would just forget to write to us or tell us what's going on. One afternoon passed. Should I be hopeful in the next one?».
«Hope is the only things you can believe in when you stop receiving news from someone» Horand answers. He reaches him and sits next to him with a cross-legged position, then adds:«Maybe the letter just didn't arrive. You know that this can happen many times during a so difficult journey».
The fifteen years old boy smiles and says:«It could be possible».
They both stare at the clouds that are slowly becoming darker. The evening is coming now, even thought it is coming slower. Summer is now there, so the days last longer than usual. The temple is losing his grey shade; it is now taking on a blueish color that will become azure during the next morning.
Suddenly, Horand asks for his attention with an innocent punch on his shoulder. «I won't lie, Oj'» he begins with a serious look. «There are different chances for Sentinekka's destiny, and I don't know if she'll come back. There are people who never returned from the last realm. Our father told me many stories about people he knew during his childhood that he never saw after the Eden. So... Don't expect anything, alright?».
Ojtaro sighs and continues, looking at the temple. «It's the only thing we can do? Hoping?» he asks while crossing his arms.
«Sadly, yes» the other one replies. «Because I don't think that you could just travel to the Eye of Eden and be sure that you'll save the situation».
Ojtaro makes a small giggle. Then, he asks:«Do you think that she'll be here in a short time?».
«Dad told me that, after Eden, someone can sleep for even years... But that's a rare case. She probably will be back in some weeks. Just... Give her the time, alright?».
«I'm just so impatient to see her again!» Ojtaro exclaims, excited. «I only need to understand how to tell her what I actually can feel... And that will be hard».
«Why?». Horand smiles in an amused way. «She would be happy to hear that. Her best friend told me that she likes you too».
«What?!» he shouts. His voice makes a little echo that goes around that area and then disappears. He can feel his cheeks turning red as a classical apple. «And you had the great idea to not tell me?!».
«Actually, Symphony told me yesterday... And she told me to keep it as a secret... Sadly, I couldn't keep this hidden from you, and I said that I would have told you... So... Yes».
«Is this supposed to make me feel better?» Ojtaro asks him. He's embarrassed. Totally embarrassed. Now the situation should be easier... But it's even harder now! «That was... Unexpected...» he whispers.
«Oh come on! Don't tell me you thought she didn't reciprocate the "feeling"!». His brother looks at him with a surprised face. «She is always happy, but she's happier when she's with you. Sentinekka likes you and your company. And, since the day I met her, I knew that you two were going to have something».
«You knew? How?».
«Logic, I guess».
