"Na dekha tune haal yeh mera,
Muqaddar bhi sath na mera,
Begaano si mai nachdi phiru,
Teri jogan banke saajna."
I woke up next morning, on the couch, in tight embrace of Isshan bhai. A small smile tugged on my face, and I try to get up, but he whines and start waking up.
"Bhai, Good morning." I said smiling brightly.
"Good morning bacha, slept well?" He looked at me adoringly.
"Um hm, I did. Thank you bhai."
"Don't, never ever say thank you to us. Now, let's go and get ready. You have an interview, don't you?" He said getting up from the couch.
"Oh shit!!! I forgot. I am late, I needed to be there by 8 and it's 7 already." I panic.
"Don't panic bacha, it's Kabir's company. No one will dare to say anything to you." I look at him confusedly. I do have a crush on him, but he doesn't, so why won't anyone say anything to me?
"He is our family friend Ashi." He elaborates seeing my face.
"Oh yes, I forgot" I smile sheepishly.
He just shakes his head and walks out. I follow after him to see everyone running here and there in panic. I look at Isshan bhai confusedly and he does the same. We walk towards the living room and see Rudra bhai angry as hell shouting at some guards.
"WHY THE HELL DO I PAY YOU IF YOU CAN'T DO ONE JOB PROPERLY. IF SHE DIDN'T GOT OUT OF THE HOUSE WHERE THE HELL IS SHE?"
I flinch at his tone because this is the first time I have seen him this mad. I look over and see everyone panicking, maa and chachi crying and dad and Chachu consoling them, Dhruv bhai shouting at someone on call. Ankit on verge of tears in his house.
"Bhai, what happened?" Isshan bhai interrupts.
"ASHI, SHE IS NOT IN THE HOUSE AND THESE IDIOTS DIDN'T SEE HER LEAVING THE HOUSE" Rudra bhai shouts again in frustration and says without looking our way.
"Bhaiya..." I whispered scared due to his loud voice.
He freezes for a second and then turns his head so fast in my direction and relief settles on his face. In a second, he is in front of me checking me from up and down then start caressing my face.
"Princess, where were you?" He speaks lowly, his voice was so vulnerable that I just wanted to hug him so that's what I did. I hugged him tightly, and finally let my tears out.
These tears are not because of his loud voice, instead it's because no one other than Ro and Sid have ever cared this much about me. And here seeing everyone's panicked faces has made me realize what family truly is.
