Michael's P.O.V

"Hey Cal," I said, coming up behind the guy in the hall. "How you doing?"

"Well, I haven't been pummeled to the ground by cheer-bitches yet, so I think that's pretty good," he sighed with a gloomy look cast over his eyes.

"If anyone wants to pummel you, just go get Ashton. I'm sure he'd be more than happy to help," I told him, stopping in front of his classroom.

"Thanks for the suggestion, Mikey, but I don't really feel like getting help from him right now," he mumbled.

"Well, my friend Sara is in this class, she's a good listener," I told him before patting his back and continuing done the hall to my own class.

Sara's P.O.V (surprise bitches)

"Hey, uh, is this seat taken?" A voice next to me said. I turned and saw a boy with dark eyes and matching hair.

"Oh, sure," I said, smiling up at his as he sat down.

Once he was situated he spoke up again. "Michael recommend you."

I furrowed my eyebrows together. What the hell is that kid up to now? "Excuse me?"

"He said that you were a good listener if I needed to talk," he cleared up, awkwardly shifting it the uncomfortable desk chair.

"Oh!" I chuckled, "That makes more sense."

"What did you think I meant?" He questioned.

"You just never know with Michael," I sighed, thinking about how much chaos my best friend had caused me over the last few years.

"True. I've only known him for as long as you, I'm sure, but I already know he's trouble," he laughed, showing off his white teeth.

"Hun, believe me, he's more than just trouble. He's like Satan in a human highlighter," I laughed along, making his grin widen.

"I'm Calum by the way," he said after we calmed down a bit.

"Sara, but you knew that." We shook hands, keeping our smiles present.

I gave him a questioning look. "So what did you need?"

"Oh, uh, yeah, about that..."

"Come on, I won't bite," I pressed, nudging his side with my elbow.

"Well, it's just that I've started going out with this cheerleader and-"

"Ashton?"

"Yeah, Ashton..." He mumbled, scratching the back of his neck as his cheeks turn a shade darker with every second that passed.

"Continue, I'm sorry for cutting you off."

"Oh no, you're fine," he insisted. "But anyway, I'm just really scared that everyone's gonna hate the idea of us being together and that he'll start to think that way too," he explained slowly, it obviously not being something easy to get out.

I sighed, "Calum, if he really did like you, he wouldn't give too shits what people thought. Pardon my french. I mean, haven't you ever heard of Romeo and Juliet?" I scoffed, "People hated them as a couple, but they died for each other. I don't know if love can get any deeper than that."

"Are you sure?"

"If I were a pregnancy test, there would be a baby on the way."

He laughed, shaking his head at my humor. "Thanks."

"No problem. And tell Michael to fuck off next time you see him," I muttered, just wanting to mess with my friend.

"Neh, I think that's Luke's job."

"Wait, who's Luke?" I questioned, confused by the new name.

"Oh my lord, do I have a lot to tell you."
