Rowan's POV:
Yesterday's interview was one of the hardest things to go through. Having to lie about me and Peyton really brought me down. I still find it unfair that me and him can't date in public, but oh well. Theres nothing we can do about it. But its really difficult for me and Peyton to pretend like nothings going on. I can't kiss him, I can't hold his hand, we can't go on dates. Its unfair.Today I'm going to talk to Peyton about this whole situation. I don't know how were going to make this work, so hopefully he has some ideas. Because its only been a day, and I'm already feeling very skeptical.
I asked him to come over so he should be here any minute. When I heard a knock on the door, I opened it and let Peyton in. "Hey, you wanted to talk?" he asked. "Yea, its about the whole no dating in public thing. How are we going to do this Peyton?" He grabbed my hand and led me to the couch. "Rowan, everything is going to be fine. If we can't date in public then theres nothing we can do about that. If Michael said no dating in public, then we have to listen to him."
"No, I understand that Peyton, but what if it gets out that were secretly together? What are we gonna do then?" He didn't answer right away and I knew that he felt the same about all of this. "I honestly don't know Row..but I don't want to stop being with you. We just got together. Can't we at least see if this can work before we do or say anything that we might regret? Please, I want to be with you, I need to be with you Rowan." He leaned in and kissed me. "Rowan..I don't know if its too early to say this and it probably is, but I need you and I-I love you."
I looked up at him with the biggest smile. I was speechless, and I knew that I felt the same way. "I love you too," and with that, I kissed him as if it was the last kiss we were to ever share. Now I'm just hoping that this works out, because I don't want to have to leave Peyton.
