You and Chifuyu had a delightful time at the dessert store before heading to Takemichi's house. The cozy shop specialized in all things sweet, from a variety of desserts to bubblegums, candies, and more. Sitting together, you both shared a bowl of ice cream. Opting for neapolitan, you carefully avoided the strawberry portion, as you preferred strawberries as fresh fruit rather than in ice cream.

Teasingly, you nudged Chifuyu to try the strawberry part, well aware that he wasn't fond of it either. With a playful grin, he accepted the challenge, taking a spoonful of the strawberry ice cream without betraying his distaste. He savored each bite, allowing the flavors to melt on his tongue before swallowing. Watching his effort to enjoy something he disliked, you couldn't help but smile at his sweetness—both in gesture and character.

As you and Chifuyu exited the dessert store, the sky, which had been clear moments before, unexpectedly began to rain. Fortunately, you had the foresight to bring along an emergency umbrella, despite the weather forecast predicting rain. The umbrella, however, was on the smaller side, suitable for only one person.

You swiftly opened the umbrella and gallantly offered it to Chifuyu, considering his taller stature. Together, you both ventured into the downpour. The rain wasn't torrential but steady enough to soak anyone caught without cover. Step by step, you navigated through the rain-soaked streets, the umbrella providing a small sanctuary from the weather's sudden change.

As the rain persisted and the small umbrella failed to adequately shield both of you, frustration grew. When the rain began soaking your shoulders, you couldn't help but yelp in discomfort. Instinctively, you grabbed onto Chifuyu's arm, drawing close to him and unconsciously hugging him tightly.

Feeling your sudden closeness, Chifuyu blushed, aware of the proximity between you. Without hesitation, he adjusted the umbrella to cover your side more effectively, even if it meant leaving his own shoulder exposed to the rain. His gesture spoke volumes about his consideration for your comfort, prioritizing your dryness over his own.

Realizing how Chifuyu had selflessly shielded you from the rain while neglecting his own comfort, you gently nudged the umbrella towards his side, urging him to share its protection equally. "Hey, save yourself too," you insisted, concerned for his well-being.

As you adjusted the umbrella, trying to balance the coverage, an unexpected misstep caused you to accidentally step into a puddle. The splash sent water flying, unfortunately soaking Chifuyu's pants. "Oh, sorry!" you exclaimed, feeling guilty for the mishap. You quickly glanced at his wet pants and then down at your own shoes, surprised to find that your pants hadn't suffered the same fate as his.

Chifuyu's retaliatory action surprised you as he purposely stomped into the next puddle, splashing water onto your pants. Shocked, you gasped and looked up at him with a mixture of disbelief and frustration. Your lips pressed together in anger, you turned away, crossing your arms defensively.

"M-mine was unintentional. You did it on purpose!" you exclaimed, your annoyance evident in your tone. Feeling hurt and betrayed by his playful retaliation, you let go of his arm, creating a visible distance between you.

"Sorry..." Chifuyu muttered, his voice tinged with regret. He reached out to touch your shoulder in apology, but you moved away, clearly upset. His panic was palpable; the last thing he wanted was for you to be angry with him.

The tension between you was tangible, overshadowing the earlier warmth of sharing the umbrella. Despite his attempt to lighten the mood, Chifuyu's prank had backfired, leaving both of you feeling a bit dampened by the sudden turn of events.

With a mischievous grin, you decided to tease Chifuyu in retaliation for his prank. Seeing his genuine concern, you couldn't resist the opportunity to playfully escalate the situation. You wrapped your arms around his torso and leaned your weight, attempting to make him lose balance and fall into the wet ground.
