Avery's POV

The first rays of sunlight filtered through the hotel room curtains, and I found myself already awake, silently contemplating the day ahead. Tyrone was snuggled beside me, his small body rising and falling with each breath. I carefully slipped out of bed, not wanting to wake him or Tyler. Tyler was still fast asleep, a rare sight given how early he usually woke up.

I quietly prepared for our appointment, taking a quick shower and dressing Tyrone in his casual clothes. He was still half-asleep, clinging to me as I got him ready.

Tyler remained motionless, his peaceful expression tugging at my heart. I allowed myself to look at him, noticing the lines of worry etched on his face even in sleep.

Nakakalungkot lang na kaya niya ako inaalagaan ay dahil sa naaawa siya sa akin. Una pa lang plano na niya talaga na idivorce ako.

A soft knock on the door broke my thoughts. It was Secretary KC, who walked in quietly but then gasped softly upon seeing Tyler still asleep.

"Good morning, Miss Avery. Master Tyler is still asleep?" she whispered, clearly surprised.

I nodded, focusing my attention back on Tyrone who was nestled in my lap, still looking drowsy. Bumibigat na si Tyrone kaya medyo nangangawit na ako kapag binubuhat ko 'to.

Secretary KC walked over to Tyler and gently shook his shoulder. "Master Tyler, wake up. You'll be late for Avery's hospital appointment," she said softly.

Tyler's eyes fluttered open, and he slowly sat up, groggily looking around. As his eyes met the clock on the nightstand, they widened in shock. "Oh shit!" he muttered, running a hand through his hair.

Napatingin siya sa gawi namin ni Tyrone at nakita niyang nakabihis na kami. He looked almost apologetic, but I quickly looked away, not ready to meet his gaze.

"I'll just take a quick shower and get dressed," he said hurriedly, already moving towards the bathroom.

Secretary KC nodded. "I'll wait for you both in the lobby." Lumabas na ulit ito.

As Tyler disappeared into the bathroom, I could hear the water running. I sighed, trying to keep my emotions in check. Tyrone, now fully awake, yawned and rubbed his eyes, giving me a sleepy smile.

"Good morning, Mommy," he mumbled, wrapping his arms around my neck.

"Good morning," I replied, kissing his forehead. "We're going to the hospital today and after that I'll buy you a toys, okay?"

Tyrone nodded, his eyes lighting up.

Tyler emerged from the bathroom in record time, dressed and ready. "Let's go," he said, his voice filled with determination.

I stood up, holding Tyrone, and walked towards the door without a word. Tyler followed closely behind. The walk to the lobby was silent, the tension palpable. Secretary KC was waiting for us, her face a mix of concern and professionalism.

"Shall we?" she asked, gesturing towards the exit.

We made our way to the car, Tyler and I still not exchanging any words. The ride to the hospital was quiet, with Tyrone happily chatting with Secretary KC in the front seat, oblivious to the strained atmosphere between his parents.

As we arrived at the hospital, Tyler reached out to help me with Tyrone, but I politely declined, shifting him to my other hip. Tyler's face fell slightly, but he didn't push further.

Inside the hospital, the familiar scent of antiseptic and the bustling activity of staff and patients surrounded us. We checked in at the reception, and soon, we were guided to Dr. Michaels office.
