I was shouting at him."Danna, please, listen to me." mahinahon niyang sabi, lumayo ako sa kaniya.
"No need. Nahuli ko siyang may kahalikan... he's been cheating on me for months.
"'Wag naman ganito, baby. Mahal na mahal—" I slapped him before he finished his sentence.
"Tapos na tayo, Kyran. Hinding hindi na tayo mag kikita." I said before walking away from the door.
Umiiyak ako habang patungo sa elevator. I am so heartbroken and angry.
I bit my lower lip before looking at the road.
I let out a deep breath before walking. As I walked into the dimly lit club, the pulsating beats of the music filled the air, drowning out the chaos of my racing thoughts. Each step felt heavier than the last, burdened by the weight of betrayal. The pain seared through my heart, leaving me feeling lost and broken.
Finding solace in the anonymity of the bar counter, I took a seat, desperately seeking refuge from the storm brewing inside me.
"Drinks?" the bartender, with a sympathetic smile, approached me and asked what I desired.
"A glass of margarita, please." without hesitation, I whispered to him.
A temporary escape from the harsh reality that had shattered my world.
Tears welled up in my eyes, I struggled to contain the flood of emotions threatening to consume me. The corners of my vision blurred as I reached for a tissue, my trembling hand barely able to grip it.
"Let me help you." I heard a voice, gentle yet captivating, pierce through the haze of my despair.
"One mojito." I heard him say. "Boy problem, huh." sabi niya sa mababang tono. I remained silent.
After many drinks, I found myself oversharing to the guy beside me. "He cheated on me... I was never enough for hin. He never loved me back..." I cried.
