Jackson Taylor yawned as he looked at the gps on the screen of his Corvette E-Ray. Just ten minutes left until he was at his destination. He pulled out a Red Bull and began drinking it. The eleven hour drive from Sacramento to Seattle was finally beginning to take a toll on him.
He thought back to what happened a few days prior. He ran into his ex girlfriend Felicity Mills while on his morning run. She was still as fine as he remembered. Thick, caramel skinned with hair that would make some of the most gorgeous of women jealous. It seemed like a mere coincidence since she was on business, but to Jackson it felt like a chance encounter. She invited him to come up to a party she was having so they could reconcile.
He initially declined since they really hadn't spoken much in the two years that they had been split. It wasn't that he hated her, or that they had any beef in fact he was still very much in love with her. It was out of respect for her current relationship that he decided not to go. However, Felicity insisted that everything would be fine. He reluctantly agreed and now found himself one minute away from the address she'd given him.
He pulled up to a gate with the letters "FM" spelled out across the bars. "As he pulled down the driveway he absorbed the view of the massive mansion in front of him. "Damn! She didn't tell me she was doing it big like this."
He pulled around the circular driveway and parked in front of the house. "Shit looks like I'm early to the party huh?". Jackson was always punctual when it came to time. He would always show up to events early to scope out the scene. He walked up to the giant doors in front and was about to knock until a familiar sound caught his attention. He walked around back to where the sound was coming from. There was a massive pool out back and the sound of "Ball" by Keshun Blue was playing from the ground speakers.
He could see someone emerging from the pool and noticed that it was a familiar face. "What do you know about that Keshun Blue?".
The tatted light skinned man looked at him through the towel draped over his face "Well well if it isn't the good boy Jackson Taylor. What's up kid?" He said extending out a fist for Jackson to dap him up.
"I can't call it Virgil." He replied as he reached out and bumped his fist. Virgil Sims was the guy that Felicity had been with prior to dating Jackson. Though they had issues in the beginning they settled their differences years ago and practically became brothers.
"I see you haven't let time get a grip on you yet." Jackson laughed
"If I get fat that's the end of me being able to get women, so I've got to stay in shape." he said as he handed Jackson a shot glass filled with "Shay by Le Portier."
Jackson happily took the shot "I see you're still drinking that fancy shit."
"Hey I'm going to support Unc the best way that I can, and if a hundred on a bottle does it then fuck it." He laughed.
Jackson looked around the yard for a moment. He could see that the fence line stretched out for at least a mile to what looked like a guest house in the far back.
"So Virgil I'm guessing FiFi invited you up here too?"
He took another shot "Yup. Marco is here as well he's inside."
"Marco!? Like Marco Williams?"
"Yep that Marco."
Marco Williams was Felicity's current boyfriend. He hated all of her ex boyfriends, but he had an exceptional distaste for Jackson. Mostly because Jackson was the only one that he's never been able to outsmart. Jackson didn't take any offense to it though. He found Marco to be an interesting individual.
