Ela

It's the next day and I push my anger and the knowledge of another girl being inside his locket aside and get ready for our date.

I don't want to dress up and look eager but anybody in this world will catch me dead before I wear something less than pretty.

I choose a black skirt and a white top that's crossing my shoulder on one side. I pair them with brown tights, yes brown instead of black because it looks so much better, and put on my black heeled boots that sit below my knees.

I gave myself a blow-out per usual and put on my accessories. As I put my earrings in, in front of the mirror, my eyes drift towards my collarbone where my necklace rests.

K.

A little smile blooms on my face upon seeing it. I never gave it much thought, never took it off either. It just always sat there. Even when I tried to hate him.

The doorbell rings and I grab my black purse, kiss sleeping Balthazar goodbye and open the door.

Kenan stands in front of me in a white button down shirt and black pants. In his arms lay a bouquet of roses, my favorite. He stares at me as if he's seen an alien and I frown, "what?"

He shakes his head and steps closer, "it's just- you look gorgeous."

I bush at his words and mutter a thanks before taking the roses and placing them on the coffee table and returning to his side. "Shall we?" He asks as he offers me his arm, I nod and he leads me to his car, opening my door and shutting it close.

Once he is seated on his side I speak up, "are you going to tell me where you're taking me?"

He shakes his head with a smile on his lips, his dimples making an appearance. "Wait until you see."

The little shit knows I'm a very impatient person and smirks as the words leave his mouth. I swat him with my hand and the smirk turns into a chuckle, I can't help myself but join him.

It takes a bout twenty minutes until we've arrived. We're on a field, on the other side of the city.

"We're here," Kenan says as he steps out the car and walks over to my side to open my door like the true gentleman he is. I thank him and he takes my hand, leading me towards the field where a picnic is laid out.

"I would've taken you to the beach if we had one." I hear him say as I look at the telescope on the side.

"No, it's fine. It's nice out here." I smile. On the blanket lay every single item I like to eat, not only proper dishes but snacks as well.

We sit down on the blanket and I turn to him, "you know, I'm curious how you're going to convince me here. I get the telescope but it's astronomically speaking not possible for stars to align."

"Humor me for a little," he only says as he pours drinks into glasses and hands me one.

I think I'm going to combust from anticipation. I grow restless, even when I eat my slice of pizza. Our chat, however, helps a lot. He makes me laugh and I do carefree, not caring about my grudge and for the first time in ever, I'm truly happy.

"Or what about the lady telling me to piss on you where the jellyfish stung you," I laugh even harder at the memory and hold my stomach, "stop it, I'm forming abs." He chuckles and we eventually calm down. I breathe in and out and look up at the sky that's turned darker by now.

"I think I forgot the pain in that moment after her ridiculous suggestion," I say softly as I reminisce the memory. I feel him stare at me but I don't look away from the stars. Are you going to bring me back to him?

I hear the sheet rustle and turn to him, he stands up and holds his hand out, "I think it's time."

My heart pumps faster as I nod and take his hand. Kenan helps me get up and walks me over to the telescope.

"Let me take a look," he say as he plays with the telescope. He backs away once he's done and urges me closer, I step behind it and look at him and wait for his instructions, "alright, El. You can now take a look."

I face away from his smiling face and look through the lens and gasp. I've never done this before and I've never seen stars up close like this. "It is so beautiful, Kenan. Thank you for taking me here," I say as I feel hands wrap around my waist. I don't reject them and rest my hands on his as he rests his chin on top of my head, reminding me of our height difference.

"None of them shine brighter than you when you are happy, Ela. Do you understand how beautiful and important you are to me now, bunny?" My eyes mist at his words and I bite down on my lip.

"Look," he speaks up, I turn away from the telescope and he points with his finger towards the star right in front of us. I could see it with my blind eyes and nod, "you stand right here and don't move."

I nod in confusion as he leaves my side and steps in front of me.

Still not understanding what he means I speak up, "Kenan, now what?"

His face turns serious, "you told me you'd give me a chance if the stars aligned." I nod in affirmation, still not understanding his words.

The corner of his mouth rises, "right above me, baby. There it is, one star and below," he points at his chest, "another, aligned."

Yildiz.

"I-", not knowing what to say I stop myself and allow myself to laugh. That's right he is a star as well. Kenan smiles softly at me and I calm down. I look at him and step closer, he doesn't move an inch.

I caress his hair, his cheek, my eyes following all the while he just stands there still. My eyes then meet his as I cup his cheeks and softly whisper, "congratulations," before slamming my lips to his, his meeting mine as if he's anticipated it.

I sigh into the kiss as he pulls me closer by my waist and lean into him, not having a care in the world. He somehow solved the challenge I didn't even have an answer to, thanks to him opting for a metaphorical answer.

His lips trail down to my neck as he leaves small kisses and I lean back, giving him more access. He gently sucks on my neck before rising back up. Our passionate kiss slows down and long strokes turn into soft and sensual pecks.

Our lips part and our eyes meet. His green eyes stare deeply into mine, "I love you, Ela."

I brush my thumb over his dimpled cheek, "I love you too, Kenan."
