Chapter 10 - Things Changed

Spring break has officially began, and as expected, the Sakura trees were already out, and they were in full bloom. They were a sight to behold every time I step outside, but sadly, I'll be sharing with this experience alone.

Why is that? Well, it's because I don't have Mitsuka or Umiri with me. Umiri told me that she was going to spend most of her spring break doing band rehearsals, which makes sense given the vibe Ave Mujica gives off. But as for Mitsuka, she hasn't been able to hangout with me at all, and she hasn't said why that is.

However, that's when everything was about to change when Mitsuka asked me to come meet her at the train station. Once I got there, I found her waiting for me. She looked at me with a serious expression in her eyes.

"So, you made it, huh?"

"Yeah, what did you want to talk about?" I asked.

"I think it's about time... we part ways."

My heart stopped when I heard that sentence. What is she talking about? Parting ways?

"What are you talking about? You're my best friend, so why do you want to part ways so soon?" I asked.

"Because lately, I haven't felt like I've been a part of your life, and it pains me to see that I am being pushed away by someone better." 

This has to be some kind of a joke. I didn't want to believe that Mitsuka would end our friendship over something like that, but this is real, and I don't think I can look at her anymore. 

"Fine, I'll be on my way." I said as I start to walk away, but not before looking back and add...

"But just so you know that I always consider you to be my friend, no matter what you say or do."

Just like that, I was walking away from Mitsuka, knowing that she and I aren't going to be friends anymore. This change is not going to be easy, but at least I could always hang out with Umiri, so there's that.
