Chap. 2 The Vees

"Sir sir! I got your coffee sir and everything on stage is ready for you sir!" There was the sound of footsteps running as it slightly echoed down the hallway. It was an assistant of Vox, and one of his only close assistants, named Papermint. He was an eel sinner, who did not have the personality of an eel at all, that's for sure. Eels were cunning, sly, and predatory like and unlike Papermint he was clumsy, would stutter, had the voice of someone who sounds like they need to blow their nose, and well....he was dorky/nerdy.

Vox glanced up at him adjusting his wrist sleeves, as he grabbed the coffee cup and took a sip. "Good! Afterall I had a lot planned to say tonight!" Vox said in his charismatic voice, and Papermint just nodded. Papermint was always scared of Vox, he was a powerful overlord afterall, I mean he was scared of all the three overlords, but he could at least be grateful that his boss wasn't as cruel as Angel Dust's. "Alright well I'll just leave you to be on your break and...." Vox paused as he started frantically touching the top of his head.

"Oh...oh no...w-wheres my hat?" Papermint flinched at his boss's sudden change of tone. "Um...I thought you took off your hat for a break o-or something." He took a few steps away from his boss, as his boss just glared at him. "Since WHEN do I ever take off my hat Paper!" Papermint held up his clipboard to try and shield himself from his boss from an attack, even though Vox never lashed out and hit others, that still didn't mean he was less frightening when he was mad. Vox huffed out in annoyance as there were some blue electric sparks coming from his screen indicating that he was pissed.

"Val must have...taken it from me..." His assistant took a few more steps back with a clipboard still covering his face as he tripped and stumbled before falling on the cold tile floor. "Y-yes sir I understand, I can ask someone to-"

"No...I want you to go and get it for me....got it." Vox said in a commanding annoyed tone and Papermint peaked over his clipboard, sweating from the fear of his boss and nodded quickly. "And get off the floor, I heard the janitor just mopped it." Vox said as he started to walk away, Papermint quickly got up dorkly stumbling as he quickly ran the other direction towards Valentinos room.

It was quite easy to find his room since it was the one that was dark purple, and had a gold moth design for the door handles, it was rather a pretty door. But the person inside was anything but pretty at the moment. Papermint gulped as he looked around. "Where are the?..." There was the sound of high heels running as two beautiful moth girls went to each side of the door, they both looked identical and had long hair and had part of their hair covering one of their eyes, as the eye that was not covered by the hair always looked closed.

They were wearing their usual red uniform with two red heart designs, and honestly their uniform looked like something that someone in gymnastics would wear. They didn't seem to want to open the door. "Huh?...umm..." Papermint was cut off by one of the moth girls speaking. "Valentino does not wish to have any audiences right now..." Her voice was gentle as Papermint nodded. "But, Overlord Vox spoke to me and told me I had to speak to-"
"LET him in Girls! Cough Now!" The moth girls jumped a bit and quickly opened the door bowing to Papermint. As soon as the door opened there was a large mass of red smoke everywhere that made Papermints eyes tear up a bit as he squinted trying to block out as much of the smoke he could.

He could hear the large doors shut leaving him alone in the room with him. Vals voice was usually calm and flirty but what happened from before, quickly changed that... "Quickly state your business Kaper." he continued to cough after that as Papermint opened his mouth to correct him but quickly closed it and thought not to. "Um Mr. Valentino. Vox left his hat here and wishes for it to be returned." There was sudden mocking laughter coming from Val that made Papermint shiver as he took a few steps back. "P-please pfft hahahaha! And what cough, what exactly does he need his hat for?~" Val smirked as Papermint gulped. "He needs it for his show that's going to happen in about..." Paper took a pause as he glanced down at his wrist for the time.
