Tw: abusive discipline!!

The heavy oak door slammed shut behind Hanni with a deafening finality, plunging her into a small, dimly lit room that reeked of stale air and fear.

The cold stone walls closed in around her, casting elongated shadows that danced ominously in the flickering light of a single, feeble bulb hanging from the ceiling.

Hanni's heart pounded in her chest as she backed away from the door, her eyes wide with terror as she realized the gravity of her situation. She had heard whispers of Mrs. Kim's punishments, but nothing could prepare her for the cruelty that awaited.

Footsteps approached from outside, heavy and deliberate. Hanni's breath caught in her throat as the door swung open again, revealing Mrs. Kim's stern silhouette framed against the harsh glare of the hallway lights.

"You disobedient girl," Mrs. Kim's voice was cold and cutting, devoid of any hint of compassion. "You dare defy me?"

Before Hanni could respond, Mrs. Kim lunged forward with startling speed, her hand striking out like a viper.

The blow landed squarely on Hanni's cheek, the force of it sending her stumbling backwards, crashing into the unforgiving stone wall.

Pain exploded across Hanni's face, a sharp, searing agony that left her momentarily stunned. Tears welled up in her eyes as she struggled to regain her bearings, the metallic taste of blood filling her mouth.

But Mrs. Kim was relentless. She advanced on Hanni with a calculated brutality, delivering blow after merciless blow with a chilling precision. Each strike seemed to echo through the small room, accompanied by Hanni's stifled cries of pain and desperation.

A blow to her stomach knocked the wind out of Hanni, doubling her over in agony. She gasped for breath, her vision swimming with tears as Mrs. Kim's harsh voice berated her with accusations and admonishments.

"You think you can defy me?" Mrs. Kim's voice rang out, laced with venomous scorn. "You will learn your place here, Hanni. There is no room for disobedience."

Hanni's body trembled with each impact, her mind clouded with fear and anguish.

She felt utterly helpless, trapped in a nightmare from which there seemed to be no escape.

The room spun around her, the pain blurring into a relentless haze of suffering.

Minutes stretched into an eternity before Mrs. Kim finally ceased her assault, leaving Hanni crumpled on the floor, battered and broken. Blood stained her clothes, bruises blossomed across her skin like dark, grotesque flowers.

Mrs. Kim stood over Hanni, her expression inscrutable as she regarded the girl with a cold detachment. "This is what happens to those who defy me," she stated icily, her voice cutting through the silence. "Remember this lesson well, Hanni."

Hanni lay still, her breaths coming in ragged gasps as she fought to remain conscious.

The pain was overwhelming, a constant throbbing ache that reverberated through her entire body. She closed her eyes, tears streaming down her cheeks as she struggled to make sense of the nightmare she had been thrust into.

And then, with a final, contemptuous glance, Mrs. Kim turned on her heel and strode out of the room, leaving Hanni alone in the suffocating silence once more.

But not before informing her to go stay with minji.

She nods towards a door and leaves.

Summoning all her strength, Hanni staggered to her feet and stumbled towards the door, driven by an instinctual need to escape the horrors she had endured.

The door led to a narrow staircase that descended into the depths of the mansion, the air growing colder and mustier with each step. Hanni's heart pounded in her chest as she navigated the labyrinthine passages, unsure of what lay ahead but determined to find freedom at any cost.At last, she reached a dimly lit basement, its walls lined with shelves of old books and forgotten artifacts.

And there, sitting quietly amidst the shadows, was Minji.

Hanni's breath caught in her throat as she approached her friend, who looked up with eyes that held a mixture of sorrow and resignation.

"Minji," Hanni whispered hoarsely, her voice thick with emotion. "Are you... are you alright?"Minji nodded silently, her gaze flickering with a flicker of hope.

"I'm... I'm sorry, Hanni," she murmured, her voice barely audible.

"I tried to warn you, but..."Hanni reached out tentatively, her hand trembling as she touched Minji's shoulder.

"It's not your fault," she insisted softly, her heart aching for her friend's suffering.

"We'll find a way out of here, together."

For a moment, hope sparked in Minji's eyes, a glimmer of determination shining through her despair.

"Yes," she agreed quietly, her voice gaining strength. "We'll find a way."But as Hanni's thoughts turned to her friend Danielle, who must be worried sick about her absence, Minji's demeanor shifted.

A calculating look crossed her features, her eyes narrowing slightly as she met Hanni's gaze."Danielle..." Hanni began hesitantly, her voice trailing off as she sought reassurance from Minji.

"She must be looking for me. We need to..."Minji's expression hardened, her tone taking on a subtly manipulative edge. "Danielle doesn't matter, Hanni," she interrupted smoothly, her voice deceptively gentle. "You only need me. We can protect each other, keep each other safe."

Hanni hesitated, torn between loyalty to Danielle and the growing sense of dependence on Minji in this bleak, isolated world. "But... Danielle is my friend," she protested weakly, her resolve wavering under Minji's persuasive words.Minji's grip tightened on Hanni's hand, her gaze intense and unwavering.

"You can't trust anyone but me," she insisted firmly, her voice tinged with urgency.

"We have to stick together, Hanni. It's the only way."Caught between fear and longing for connection, Hanni nodded slowly, her heart heavy with conflicting emotions.

She wanted to believe in Minji's promise of safety and solidarity, despite the nagging doubts that lingered in the depths of her mind.

And as they sat together in the basement, surrounded by shadows and secrets, Hanni clung to Minji's words like a lifeline in the darkness, unaware of the dangerous path she was unwittingly treading.
