System Introduction

"Ugh-" the female on the ground groaned as she lifted her tan arm over her eyes, effectively blocking out the bright morning sun. Her mind raced to understand her situation, as a ding sounded and echoed in her mind.

Behind her closed eyelids a futuristic holographic screen, bright blue in color, materialized. A bolt of shock ran through her body.

On the screen it read,

'Welcome!

You have entered the world of Beauty and the Beast. Your purpose for being here is simply to do what you, Nova, want.'

Nova finished reading the screen as it flickered and more words appeared

'You have been granted an inventory. To open inventory, simply think of an item in your space. For this tutorial, the system has given you an instant translator skill rune.'

The woman opened her eyes, paying close attention to her surroundings. Nova was alone with nothing in sight but trees and a few animals scurrying around. Nova thought of the name of the item she had read of, a small rock with an ear carved into it appeared in her hand.

A ding rang out again, and the screen read,

'Good job! Now crush the rune in your hand to gain the skill. Instant Translator will act as a passive skill. This will allow you to understand the beastmen in their beast forms.'

Nova sighed, honestly overwhelmed by her sudden arrival in this universe and now a whole new aspect to the world of Beauty and the Beast that didn't exist for Bai Qingqing.

However, she did as the system said and squeezed her hand around the rock, with very little force the rune crumbled into dust. Only a few seconds later another screen popped up.

This one, however, did not have instructions, but it had a status screen.

Nova let out a disbelieving chuckle, well at least she didn't have stats to keep up with, just the skills. So far she has three passive skills, and no skills that require an activation of some sorts.

Instant Translator could come in handy for any later projects she might take on, but also for communicating with her future mates too.

Calm and Logical Mind and Instincts are interesting skills to have, at least with Calm and Logical Mind Nova can be the de-escalator of her family in the future. And Instincts gives her a fighting chance in this wild world she landed in.

Just as Nova was thinking of how to tell what Instincts would feel like when activated, a weird feeling almost like the sensation of being watched washed over her.

Whatever was approaching her was slow, giving Nova enough time to 'play dead' for lack of a better way of saying it.

She laid back down the way she first arrived, unknowingly creating an image the approaching person will never forget.

"A female!" She heard a male voice gasp in surprise. Quickly coming over to kneel next to her. Nova felt the leaves and dirt next to her shift creating a strange sense of vulnerability as a chill swept over her body.
