Did you know that there is a way to transfer a character from one of the already existing families into your family in the Sims 4? You can also use this trick to transfer funds. Just go to the settings for a household, like the option to move that family to a different lot, and then select the more settings option. Then you should transfer that household's funds and move it to your households. I haven't played the Sims 4 in a while, so I don't remember what this household-transferring thing is called, sorry. Also, you will have to move at least one character to your household for you to be able to transfer the funds, but you should be able to transfer that npc back to their original family afterwards.
