It was 9:00 pm, and I was still at the hospital, exhausted from the day's chaotic events. I was waiting for Kia in my cabin, as she had stepped out to grab coffee for both of us.
As I sat there, I couldn't help but blush at the mere thought of Ansh. Our marriage life had undergone a significant transformation, and he had changed dramatically. Gone was the rude, jerkish Revansh Singh Rajput; in his place was a kind and considerate husband.
I had to admit, there were times when I felt like running away from all my problems, but I had a family now – my baby and, yes, even my jerk husband. I loved them both so much that I couldn't bear the thought of losing either of them.
My chain of thoughts was interrupted by a knock on the door. "Come in," I said. A staff member entered with a bag. "Yes?" I asked him.
"Someone gave me this bag and asked me to give it to you, Doctor," he replied. "Who was it, and why did they give it to me?" I asked, curiosity piqued.
"I don't know, Doctor. I didn't see their face; it was covered with a mask and cap," he explained. "Okay, thanks," I said, taking the bag from him.
As soon as he left, I opened the bag and found a beautiful bouquet of roses – my favorite flowers. But who could have sent them? I removed the bouquet and found a note attached to it. I opened the note and...
I peered into the bag and found a box inside. I opened it to discover a brand-new iPhone 15 Pro Max. Who could have given it to me, and why? Ansh? No, he wouldn't do that without telling me. Then who?
I searched for any evidence or notes and found another one. As I read it, I froze, my eyes widening in shock. I felt myself sweating and breathing heavily, panic coursing through my veins. I was struggling to breathe.
Just then, Kia walked in, saying, "Here I am, lady," but I couldn't hear her. It was as if I was underwater, with all voices muffled and distant. All I could see were the nightmares from my past.
Kia rushed to my side, whispering, "Shhh, babe, deep breaths." She held me tightly, rubbing my back. "Think of good things, sweetheart – your baby Rian, your husband Revansh, your family, your happy moments with them."
