I woke up to the most breathtaking sight: my Rose, her delicate frame nestled against mine, snuggling into me like a warm, sleepy bear. I couldn't resist the urge to lean in and press a soft kiss on her forehead. Her skin was cool to the touch, a contrast to the warmth of her breath as it fanned across my chest.

"Ummm, don't..." she murmured, her voice thick with sleep.

"Wake up, baby," I whispered, brushing my lips against her cheek. "It's morning. Don't you want to attend your Bhai's wedding?"

She shifted slightly, her eyelids fluttering as she tried to pull herself out of sleep. "What time is it?" she asked, her voice husky with the remnants of a dream.

"It's 9:15," I replied, my fingers trailing lightly over her arm.

"What?!" she exclaimed, suddenly wide awake. Before I could even react, she had bolted out of bed, the soft fabric of the sheets rustling as they were thrown aside.

"Slower, don't hurt yourself," I called after her, but she was already out of the room, a whirlwind of energy and urgency.

I was still chuckling to myself when the door to my room burst open again, this time revealing Atharva, his face a mix of exasperation and amusement.

"Why the fuck are you still sleeping?" he barked.

"It's not my wedding, it's yours," I shot back, stretching lazily as I sat up.

"Come on, Adhiraj, get up. We're late," he urged, his tone somewhere between a command and a plea.

"So eager to get married?" I teased, a smirk playing on my lips.

"Not more than you," he retorted, his eyes narrowing as if daring me to argue. I didn't. Instead, I sighed, the weight of the day settling on my shoulders as I made my way to the bathroom. Four business days wasted on this wedding. I wouldn't even be here if it weren't for my Rose dragging me along. Weddings weren't my thing, but for her, I'd endure it.

After getting dressed, I went out in search of Tranika, but the palace was vast, and she was nowhere to be found. Frustration began to bubble up inside me. Where could she be?

"Where's Tranika?" I asked Niharika, who was busy giving instructions to some of the staff.

"Let her be alone for a minute," my mother chimed in, her voice carrying a note of caution.

"I need to meet her," I said, more to myself than to anyone else. I had questions-questions about Anirudh Thakur. I knew he was a businessman, but the way my Rose had reacted after seeing hum... there was more to the story, and I needed to know.

"She's with Vriti di," Sarah, Vriti's step-sister, informed me. Her tone was too sugary, her smile too wide. I didn't trust her. Cunning, like her parents. I didn't bother replying and walked away. I had no patience for her pretense.
