It was 4:30 a.m. by the time Tranika and Reyansh finally returned home. The cool night air still clung to their skin, the adrenaline from the race long faded, but the tension from the chaos they had caused lingered.

To their surprise, the house was still buzzing with energy. The living room, usually quiet at this hour, was now filled with concerned faces, all of them waiting for the pair's return.

"Took a lot of time, huh?" Adhiraj's father's voice broke the silence, laced with sarcasm. "Came all the way from the end of the city? Took quite a long route, I guess?"

Tranika blinked, still catching her breath from the race, her heart still thumping in her chest. She glanced at Reyansh, who looked equally guilty. "Arey Papa, I never wanted the city to turn into chaos. I didn't know it was Christmas," Tranika explained, her voice sounding defensive but still weary from the night's events.

"But when you got to know, then what did you do?" Adhiraj's mother interjected sharply, her eyes narrowing with concern and disappointment.

"Madam called the department and asked them to block all signals," Atharva chimed in, unable to hide the amusement in his voice despite the situation.

The room fell silent for a moment, and then Adhiraj's father spoke again, this time with an edge of disapproval. "You do realize you're also the collector of this city, right, Tranika? How can you be so irresponsible? I didn't expect this from you. It's Christmas night! The city is bustling with gatherings and festivities. And what do you do? You turn the whole city into chaos."

Tranika felt the weight of his words, but before she could reply, Adhiraj's voice cut in smoothly, trying to defuse the tension in the room. "Kuch mat kahiye inhe, ye jo chahe vo kar sakti hai, biwi hai humari. Hum sab sambhal lenge," he said, his tone light but protective, a small grin playing on his lips as he glanced at Tranika.

His father raised an eyebrow "Of course," he said, his tone softer but still laced with a hint of irritation.

"And where were you during all of this?" his mother demanded, now shifting her gaze to Adhiraj.

"In the office," he replied, his expression neutral, though Tranika could tell there was a certain edge to his words.

His father wasn't letting it go. "The matter's not yet sorted out??You need to fix this, Adhiraj. You have your oath ceremony coming up. You'll be busy with that and won't have any time for this chaos going on in your company. Make it right," he said, his voice firm and commanding.

Adhiraj nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. "I'll handle it," he assured them.

After a few moments of tense silence, his mother sighed, finally softening. "Now, everyone go and sleep. It's been a long night," she said, gesturing toward the hallway with a tired but resigned look.

Tranika entered her room, slamming the door shut behind her. She barely had time to steady herself when a strong hand grabbed her wrist and pinned her against the wall. Her heart raced, and her breath caught as she looked up into Adhiraj's intense, fiery eyes, his face just inches from hers.
