Tranika gripped the steering wheel tightly as she drove through the quiet streets, her mind a storm of emotions she couldn't control. No matter how much she wanted to push her feelings aside, they always crept back in, stubborn and unrelenting.
"I try so hard to avoid these feelings," she muttered, her voice breaking slightly. "But after everything... everything he's done, everything we've been through—I still don't want to lose that bastard."
Tears blurred her vision for a moment, and she blinked them away angrily. "I hate him," she whispered. "And I love him. God, I love him so much, it hurts."
Her hands trembled as she loosened her grip on the wheel. The memories of their past flooded her mind—their laughter, their shared dreams, the way he used to look at her like she was his entire world. Even after all the pain he had caused her, the idea of losing him completely felt unbearable.
"I'm so tired of being strong," she admitted to herself. "I don't want to do everything alone anymore. I want a happy family. I want someone to love me... someone I can love without fear, without pain."
Her voice cracked as she let the words out into the empty car. "I'm tired of being the one holding everything together. I want to feel weak in front of him. I want to cry in his arms without feeling ashamed. I want him to be my strength."
But even as she allowed herself this moment of vulnerability, her resolve hardened again. "But I can't be like that now. Not after what he's done. He has to see what he's lost. He has to regret every single decision that broke us."
She paused, her breathing uneven as she struggled with her conflicting emotions. "And yet... I know him," she whispered. "I know that man better than anyone else. I know he loves me—he always has, no matter how much he's hurt me. He loves me more than anything else in this world."
The tears that had threatened to fall earlier now rolled freely down her cheeks. "Everyone faces problems in their lives," she said, her voice trembling but steady. "And we faced ours. We've been through hell and back. But that doesn't mean it has to end like this."
She pulled into the parking lot of Adhiraj's office, the imposing building standing tall and cold in the night. She took a deep breath, wiping her tears and steeling herself for what was to come.
"For now, I'll do what Dada Ji asked. I'll bring him home. But after that..." she whispered, her voice filled with a mix of determination and heartbreak, "we'll see if we can find our way back to each other. Or if we've already lost what we once had."
With that, she stepped out of the car and walked toward the man who had both broken her and completed her, ready to face the storm one more time.
The sleek, towering office building loomed over the city, its lights still blazing despite the late hour. As Tranika stepped through the entrance at 11 PM, her heels echoed sharply against the polished floor. The sight of employees rushing around like overworked ants made her narrow her eyes.
