Tranika and Adhiraj reached the Haveli, its grandeur dulled by time but still exuding a nostalgic charm. As the car came to a halt, Adhiraj quickly stepped out, walking to her side to open the door. His hand reached for hers, holding it firmly as he helped her out.

"It's fine," he murmured reassuringly, his grip steady.

"It's been eleven years," Tranika whispered, her voice tinged with a mix of wonder and sadness.

Adhiraj glanced up at the Haveli, its fading beauty still commanding respect. "It's beautiful," he said, taking in the sprawling structure.

"It is," she admitted, her gaze lingering on the familiar walls. "But this place suffers frequent electricity cuts. Will the mighty Raja of Udaipur be able to live here?" Her tone held a teasing edge, but her eyes betrayed her apprehension.

Adhiraj smiled faintly. "He can live anywhere, as long as his wife is beside him," he said, his words carrying both affection and certainty.

Tranika drew in a deep breath, her chest tightening as memories flooded back. It's still the same. I can feel it—the air, the smell, everything. But one thing is missing: my Dadu and Dadi standing here, welcoming me with open arms. But I have him.She glanced at Adhiraj, his hand still tightly clasping hers. He's holding my hand, like I'll be lost if he lets go.

Adhiraj broke the silence, his tone pragmatic. "Now I understand why your father wanted to sell this place. It must be worth crores."

She shook her head. "I don't think so. This Haveli is caught between the village—who'd want to buy a place like this here?"

"It could be a goldmine for someone wanting to turn it into a hotel," Adhiraj replied thoughtfully. "But if anyone bought this, they'd probably want the entire village cleared. Businessmen only care about profit. They wouldn't want villagers around their precious resort. If this Haveli had been sold, the village might've vanished along with it."

Tranika sighed, nodding. "You're right. That's exactly why it's still here." She reached into her bag and pulled out her phone. "Let me click a picture and send it to Maa. She'll want to see this."

As she aimed the phone, the Haveli's aged beauty glimmered under the soft light, standing resilient, just like the memories it held.
