Adhiraj entered his house with the weight of the world on his shoulders. His mind was a storm, his heart a battlefield of emotions that he could barely keep under control. He hadn't slept in what felt like days, only moving mechanically, carried by the need to do something—anything—for her.

As he stepped into the foyer, his mother rushed towards him, her hands trembling as she reached out for him. "How is she?" she asked, her voice shaking with desperation.

Adhiraj didn't even spare her a glance. "Dying," he replied, his voice flat, drained of emotion. He didn't care about her concern, not now. Not after everything. He moved past her without another word, his mind focused only on getting away.

"Bhai, I want to meet her. Is she with Atharva bhai?" Anamika asked, stepping forward with hopeful eyes, her voice tight with fear.

Adhiraj stopped dead in his tracks, turning to face them, his chest tightening with unspent anger. "Why are you all pretending that you didn't hear the sound of the ambulance and the cars? You all know she's here. And you can't meet her," he said, his voice bitter and raw.

"Why can't we?" his father asked, his tone laced with confusion and disbelief.

Adhiraj's gaze darkened. "Because doctors said she can hear us while being in a coma. I don't want my wife to hear anything that hurts her, anything that will make her weaker." His words were heavy, laden with the weight of guilt.

His mother's face paled, a flicker of shock crossing her features. "Coma?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Adhiraj's expression hardened. "Don't act like you care, maa," he spat. His words cut through the air, and with that, he turned on his heel and walked away, his footsteps echoing through the silence of the house.

He reached Reyansh's room, pushing the door open with a quiet, almost mechanical motion. Reyansh looked up from his bed, his face pale but eyes full of concern.

"Bhai," he greeted softly.

Adhiraj didn't respond at first. He simply moved towards him, his arms going around his younger brother in a tight, protective hug.

"Are you okay?" Adhiraj asked, his voice low, almost a whisper.

Reyansh nodded, though his eyes were filled with confusion. "Yes, bhai," he replied, though his words carried an underlying uncertainty.

Adhiraj pulled back slightly, meeting his brother's gaze. His eyes were blurry, filled with unshed tears. "You are my strong brother," he said, his voice cracking.

Reyansh frowned, sensing the shift in his brother's demeanor. "Bhai? What happened? Where is Bhabhi?" he asked, his eyes widening as realization hit. "Bade Papa told me about her. She's an undercover, bhai, and she went on a mission. Where is my Bhabhimaa, bhai? Is she back?"

Adhiraj's heart shattered as he watched the innocent hope in Reyansh's eyes, the childlike belief that everything would be okay. How could he tell him? How could he break his heart like this?
