The previous day at the hospital, I had discovered that aunt Freya was under a sleeping spell.

Esther must have put her under it, likely afraid that Freya would ruin her plans.
I knew how to remove the spell; I just needed a hand.

I picked up the phone and called the only people who could help me.

I got ready for school. It was the only thing I could do at that moment.

«Good morning.» I said to Stiles as I entered the kitchen.

His father had probably already left for work.

He smiled and handed me a cup of coffee.
«How did you sleep?»

I had the same nightmare again.
Knowing that Esther was back, the nightmare seemed more significant, possibly tied to her.

«I had a nightmare, but nothing new.»

He sat down next to me.

«Do you want to talk about it?» he asked with a hint of concern in his eyes.

I sipped the coffee and took a breath.
«I've been dreaming of lying in a field, completely naked with a symbol carved into my chest. This nightmare has been haunting me for weeks.»

He got up, disappeared for a moment, and then returned with paper and pen.

«Can you draw the symbol?»

I nodded and sketched it for him.

«I'll look into it and let you know as soon as I find something.»

We drove to school together. Stiles convinced me there was no need for two cars, so I agreed to go with him.
His easy smile and light banter made the ride enjoyable.

Once we arrived, we parted ways.
I had biology, and he had English.

While searching for my class, someone bumped into me.

«Oh, sorry!» I said, looking up to see a boy with dark hair and striking blue eyes.

He looked like the type who broke hearts everywhere he went.

He laughed and shook his head.
«No, it's my fault, I was distracted.»

«Where are you headed?»

«I'm looking for the biology class.»

I told him I was too, and after some searching and a few wrong turns, we finally found it.

He held the door open for me, and I couldn't help but notice his lingering gaze as I walked past him. There was something strange about it, it made me feel uncomfortable.

I enjoyed biology, so the hours flew by.

At lunch, I joined the others in the cafeteria.

I filled my tray and sat down next to Lydia.
