"That Yue...she's got some screws loose." Gojo tapped his temple, a secretive smile on his lips. "She's not quite normal, haven't you noticed? Her very core, Cursed Energy and all, it's not quite..."
"Human." Megumi finished quietly. His eyes were unfocused, recalling the way her burning-bordering-on-ice cold, too sharp, too deep, too DARK, death-like presence had overwhelmed him when they first met.
"Right." Gojo grinned, shooting a finger gun at the younger man. "She's fearless at her core. These things take terrifying forms and despite the way she gripes about it... I don't feel anything from her even close to resembling actual terror. Sure, she's got one Hell of a sensory range to be able to feel Cursed Energy the way she does- but I don't think she understands it. And, she's really good at keeping it separate from her actual emotions. That takes some serious willpower!" Gojo chucked to himself, and Megumi bites his tongue, hesitating.
"Gojo...will you tell her?" The white haired man straightens slightly, glances over at the teen from underneath his eye covering and watching the guarded look on his face. For once...Gojo decided to be honest.
"No." At the look of protest on his face, he continued. "Not if she doesn't come to me first. She doesn't need to know how special she is except what we tell her." Megumi still looked uncomfortable at the idea.
"If she finds out we lied to her, even indirectly-"
"Chances are she won't live that long." Gojo states callously, waving his hand. Megumi schools his face, trying not to show the way that statement (the reminder of what she DID for HIM) made his stomach twist in knots and bile rise in his throat. He didn't do a good job, however, as Gojo shot him a look. A pitying twist to the white-haired man's mouth.
"Megumi. Don't worry about it. I'll take it, if it comes to that. I'm the strongest, after all- I can deal with an angry teenage girl who doesn't really know what she's doing." Megumi still didn't like it, but he nodded his head with a blank face. It was all he could do. He couldn't save Itadori, he just bought her time by bringing her to Gojo's attention. That was it. (He, so badly, wished he could do more)
"Anyway. You've seen plenty of Jujutsu Sorcerers give up because they couldn't conquer their fear or disgust. Yue doesn't have that problem- so today? Today is seeing if Nobara is crazy enough for this." Megumi nods his head slowly, fiddling with his hands. His mind was still on Yue, but he pushed those thoughts as far back as they would go and focused on the main point of the conversation.
"But...Kugisaki already has experiences with curses, right? So it's a little late for that now." Gojo smirks at Megumi.
"Yeah, but you know that a curse's strength grows with the population. Born from human minds means strength and number increase with the amount of concentrated people in an area. So, answer me this," His smile is all teeth, and the dark haired teen feels himself shiver. Sometimes, he forgets just WHO Gojo is. Being raised by him will do that. "Do you think Nobara knows how much stronger Tokyo Curses are?"
