"Richard, honey, come out of there. We want to see your new costume!" Karla asked sweetly.
"No way! My costume looks stupid!" Charles chuckled,
"Trust me it really does." Karla elbowed him,
"No I'm sure you look great! Come on out, please?" They heard a sigh from behind the curtain,
"Okay but you have to promise not to laugh!"
"We promise." The curtain parted and put stepped Dick Grayson, in his Robin costume. Except the black was replaced with green and there wasn't a cape.
Charles burst out laughing.
"Hey!" Karla elbowed him again and Dick crossed his arms.
"I'm sorry but... Hahaha!" Karla rolled her eyes then knelt down to Dick,
"You look great Richard. I'm sure the audience will love it." She smiled at him and ruffled his hair but he still looked grumpy. Charles flexed his muscles,
"Meanwhile I shall be in the coolest thing ever." Karla rolled her eyes again,
"It isn't that great." He scoffed,
"Really?" He yanked a cover off of a manikin.
"How does this not look so freaking cool!" It looked just like the Nightwing costume, minus the gadgets and tools,
"I've been thinking of awesome names ever since I got it!" Karla shrugged,
"Remember bird brain, I get the same costume."
"Yeah but you don't look as bad ass."
"Charly!" He laughed and danced away from her as she tried to whack him.
"How does this sound, ready- Nightwing."
"Nightwing? Really?" Karla said and he shrugged,
"I thought it sounded pretty awesome." Richard groaned,
"That's the dumbest name I've ever heard. Sounds more like a superhero name than a circus performer." He grinned,
"Superhero you say? How does that sound Karla? Maybe I should try to be a superhero!" He crouched behind the manikin, and put on a tough sounding voice,
"I am the darkness, I am the protector of all good, I am... Nightwing!" Dick facepalmed, and Karla laughed.
"Speaking of dumb names, how about we talk about yours, Robin."
"Ugh! Stop calling me that!" He laughed,
"What! Aunt Mary's nickname for you is so cute! Hey I'll tell you what, you can be my side kick!" Dick gagged, Karla laughed again. Suddenly Jack Haley came into the room,
"Okay kiddos, show time!"
"We'll be right there." Karla said,
"Ready to fly Dickie bird?" Dick smiled,
"Always, let's go!"
