You returned home with Chifuyu, your injuries worsening as the bruises darkened to a vivid purple. Chifuyu scrutinized your face repeatedly, as if willing the bruises to vanish magically, but they stubbornly remained. Upon reaching your apartment, a deep sigh escaped you, and a chill ran down your spine at the sight of the front door. You had originally told your mom you were at Chifuyu's place to spend time together, but instead, it had erupted into a heated argument.

"I'm so worried," Chifuyu said, fidgeting with his fingers, clearly unsure of what to do next. You comfortingly patted him on the back and shrugged, trying to reassure him. "Nothing's going to happen."

Suddenly, you were proven wrong as the door to your apartment swung open, revealing your mom standing there, holding your Toman uniform that you always made sure to keep hidden from her. It dawned on you that you had forgotten to take the laundry out of the dryer. "Why now, of all times?" you thought, feeling a sinking sensation in your stomach.

Your mom angrily threw the uniform to the ground, glaring at you and then turning her ire towards Chifuyu, unfairly blaming him. The atmosphere froze as both you and Chifuyu's hearts skipped a beat in fear of what would come next.

Upon seeing your wounds and bruises, your mom's heart sank with wide-eyed horror. "Y/N, what is this?" she exclaimed, her gaze darting from the uniform lying on the ground to Chifuyu, her expression a mix of concern and accusation. Panic flickered in Chifuyu's eyes as he tried to meet her gaze, his orbs shaking with uncertainty.

"You!" she accused, pushing you aside as she turned her attention fully to Chifuyu. "It's you, isn't it? Why does she have this ridiculous uniform? A biker gang uniform?" Her tone was sharp with disbelief and anger. Then, abruptly, she pivoted back to you, her expression softening slightly as she took in your injuries, concern evident in her eyes.

Your mom pursed her lips tightly, her mouth closing in a stern line. "That's it. You're not going to see Chifuyu ever again. Come here, young lady. You're in big trouble," she declared firmly. The weight of her words hit you hard, and you couldn't bear it any longer. Despite knowing she might resent you for it, her demand that you stop seeing Chifuyu ignited a fierce anger within you. You despised the way she unfairly blamed him, and you saw how desperately he wanted to defend himself, only to be repeatedly cut off by your mother.

"Mom!" you cried out, your voice filled with frustration. When she still didn't seem willing to hear you out, you took a drastic step, pushing her gently to get her attention. "Mom, please just listen to me! Chifuyu didn't do this to me; I did it to myself," you insisted, hoping to finally make her understand the truth of the situation.

Your mom's breathing paused as she finally listened to your explanation, the revelation hitting her like a shock. "Mom, I joined this biker gang willingly. Chifuyu didn't influence me at all. Please don't blame him. It's unfair. And I'm sorry for keeping this a secret from you. I know you're worried, but you can't stop me from being friends with Chifuyu. He's actually really kind," you tried to explain earnestly, wanting her to understand.

Before you could finish, your mom cut you off sharply. "Kind? You're calling this good-for-nothing sweet?" Her voice was filled with disbelief and anger, making you bite your bottom lip in an attempt to hold back tears. The tension in the room was palpable as emotions ran high, leaving the air heavy with unresolved feelings and misunderstandings.

"You don't understand! I joined this gang because I believe in what Baji and Chifuyu were fighting for. I loved Baji, Mom," you confessed, your voice filled with emotion. The admission hung heavy in the air, and when Chifuyu heard those words, his breathing halted. He seemed stunned by your revelation.

"Do you like Baji? Since when?" Chifuyu asked quietly, his brows furrowing in confusion. Unbeknownst to him, you had previously confessed your admiration for Baji during his colder days toward both you and Chifuyu in the Valhalla era, but he had not been aware of it. He struggled to find the right words, his gaze turning away.
