______________________________________Yagyhavi's pov:
"Hey, wait," I heard a voice behind me as I started walking away.
I turned back and saw Samar taking steps towards me.
"How are you going to get home?" he asked.
"Um, I'll look for a taxi or try to book an online cab," I replied, looking at him.
He ran a hand through his hair, his eyes blinking rapidly because of the rain pouring on his face.
"Do you think you'll find a cab in this heavy rain?" he said, stating the obvious. "I can drop you home if you're okay with it," he added.
"But your car is already broken down. You, yourself told me a few minutes ago," I replied.
"Yes! But let me check what the problem is. If I can fix it, I can drop you then," he said, looking towards the direction of his car.
"And what if it doesn't get fixed? I'll get late, and the chances of finding a cab will be even lower because more time will have passed by then," I said.
He sighed, thinking for a moment.
"Look, I understand your concern. Let me at least try to fix it. If I can't get it working in a few minutes, you can go ahead and look for a cab. Deal?" he said.
I hesitated, weighing my options.
The rain was still pouring heavily, and the chances of finding a cab in this weather was very low.
"Fine," I agreed reluctantly.
And we both started walking towards his car.
"It's strange, isn't it?" he said suddenly, breaking the silence.
"What is strange?" I asked.
"Us talking normally without arguing. From the moment we met, all we've done is argue," he said.
I smiled, "Yeah, it is strange. It is because of the situation we are in currently. But I know this won't last long. We will definitely end up arguing again later," I replied as we reached near his car.
He laughed, "Yeah, right," he said as he popped the hood and began inspecting the engine.
The rain continued to pour, and I stood there watching him.
"You can go and sit inside the car," he said without looking at me.
"No, it's alright," I replied.
"You will catch a cold if you keep standing here in the rain like this," he said, his hands still busy under the hood.
"I'll be fine," I insisted, crossing my arms and trying to ignore the chill of the rain soaking through my clothes.
He glanced up at me, his expression softening for a moment.
"Stubborn, aren't you?" he muttered, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his mouth.
"Look who's talking," I shot back, trying to suppress a smile of my own.
He shook his head, a small laugh escaping his lips.
I continued to look at him as his hands inspected the engine, noticing his rapid blinking and the struggle to keep his eyes open against the rain.
"You don't like rain, do you?" I asked, breaking the silence.
He again glanced at me briefly, his expression serious.
