Will watched from the window. He always did this, longing to meet Mike. Something about Mike made Will love him. He had beautiful raven hair. He had these dark and brooding eyes, Will could get lost staring in his iris. The way he dressed, his personality. It was all so amazing for Will.

As for Mike, he was on his bike riding to the mall. El and Max loved that place and would always invite the party to go there. As he saw his group waiting for him he slowly began to make a stop. "Where were you?" Lucas asked. "I was just getting ready. Geez." Mike got off his bike and put in on the bike rack. "We've waited like 20 minutes for you, dude." Dustin said, crossing his arms. "Come on, guys. Let's go in! I've waited long enough." Max said while grabbing Lucas's shirt and dragging him along with her. The rest of the group followed. Max practically dragged El away from the group to go shop. Mike, Lucas, and Dustin all went to scoops ahoy, the popular ice cream where Dustin's friend worked. "Steve!" Dustin yelled excitedly. Steve looked up and smiled. "Dustin!" Steve and Dustin ran up to each other. Lucas and Mike watched as they did their weird little handshake. "Come on, dude. Let's order." Lucas whined.

Lucas ordered Vanilla ice cream in a cup, Dustin ordered mint chip in a cup, and Mike ordered chocolate in a cone. They sat down at a table together when Lucas and Dustin began bickering. "Ew, who gets mint chip?" Lucas gagged. "Well at least my flavour is interesting unlike yours. basic vanilla? No toppings at all?" Dustin bit back. Mike rolled his eyes as the two boys fought.

"Mike."

"What was that?" Mike said while looking behind himself. "What dude?" Lucas asked. Mike had heard his name being called by a quiet soft voice. It was too quiet to know who said it though. "I heard someone say my name." Mike said, looking back at the two others who give him a confused look. "There's nothing there?" Dustin said. "It's whatever. I'm probably just hearing things." But Mike was certain someone said his name. As they walked around the mall Mike was mostly quiet. Unless Lucas and Dustin had a question which he'd give a short answer too. Lucas and Dustin eventally caught on to Mikes quietness. "Hey, dude. You've been really quiet. Is everything alright?" Lucas asked. "Yeah, everything's been fine." Mike replied. "I know when you're lying, Mike. It's so obvious." He replied making Mike completely silent.

"Come on, man. Surely whatever you have to tell me is fine." Lucas said. "Well," Mike started. "Will has been on my mind like 24/7, and you know how El could like spy on people in the void thing? Well I think Will is doing that. He's done it before too." Mike said. "Really? Why is it always you, Mike?" Lucas asks. "What do you mean?"
"I mean he favours you. It's obvious. He could barely remember you and he still favours you." Lucas said. "Well, we were close friends, Lucas. It's just," Mike tried finding the right words to put it in but failed. "Complicated."

Mike sits in his bedroom. It had been a long day at the mall and all he wanted to do was relax. He lied down on his bed when suddenly, Will appeared. He was translucent, almost like a ghost. Will must've been in the void. Mike smiles widely and tried to reach out. "Will.." Mike spoke in a soft voice but Will unfortunately disappeared.

I have to go visit him, Mike thought. He ran down the stairs and over to the front door where he swung it open and closed behind him. He hopped onto his bike and began riding off into the distance. Mike lives close to Will so it was only a 5 minute ride. Once Mike arrived he dropped his bike at the front and ran to the door, knocking frantically.

Joyce opened the door a couple inches with a confused expression. "Hey, Mike. What are you-" She spoke but was cut off by Mikes voice. "Can I see Will?!" He said, panting heavily. "Uhh.. I don't think.." Joyce trailed off. "Please. We haven't spoken in weeks. I just want to talk." Mike said, trying to sound convincing. Joyce looked back inside and back at Mike. "Okay, just be quick." She opened the door wider so he could come in. Mike ran in and into Wills room. Mike vaguely remembered Wills room from when they were younger. Joyce never moved because of that room, reminding her of Will.

Mike swung open the door and saw the sad boy sitting on the bed. "Will?!" Mike exclaimed. "Mike?!" Will stood up and looked at him. Mike ran over and hugged Mike tightly. "I've missed you." Mike pulled away from the hug slightly so they could face each other, their arms still wrapped around each other. "Why haven't you been replying to me on the walkie talkies?" He asked. Will pointed to it with a frown on his face, it was clearly smashed. "That's fine! I can get you a new one!" Mike reassured. Will smiled widely. "Oh, and Mike?" Will said. "What is it?" Mikes voice was filled with curiosity. "I found out why Hopper has been visiting with El more often. Mum and Hopper are dating." Will said with a smile. Mikes jaw dropped. He had never expected them two to date. Great. Just what he needed. Hopper, the guy who took El away from Mike, now taking Will away from him.

Mike and Hopper still secretly hated each other despite Mike and El breaking up. "Oh, uhmm.. that's.. cool..?" Mike said trying to sound enthusiastic but his tone sounded disappointed. Will had a suspicious look on his face from Mikes tone but ignored it.
