The Wedding of the Century: A Naxie Story (3/3)

Untitled Part 25

With 18 days until the wedding Nathan Dante and Lulu were scrambling to pick up items for Maxie and pick music and anything else she couldn't do.

Nathan "I ran into this guy and he said he'd play the song "Dreams" for the wedding."

Maxie "I love that song.  I love you!  It's perfect Nathan.  I know I need to rest but honestly with Britt here it's a little easier to take care of the kids.  Lulu helps but when she's running errands it's nice to have someone here while you're working."

Nathan "I thought you didn't trust her after what she did with Spencer and Rocco."

Maxie "Hey I am right here.  I can see everything she does.  She never leaves my sight."

Nathan "If Nikolas knew she was here he'd make me put her in jail."

Maxie "Why is a noble loyal good cop fiancée not putting his sister in jail?  She did do some awful things and escaped the law by hiding out."

Nathan "You obviously need help.  Once we get married Nikolas will know she's here and like I said he will make sure I arrest her."

Maxie "I can get help from my mom.  If she did those horrible things plotting to get Nik she should be in jail now.  You're hiding your sister."

Nathan "Honestly a part of me wants to wait.  I have no other family aside from Nina."

Maxie "You have Lulu and Spencer and Nikolas and Lucky and Ethan."

Nathan "No one I know very well aside from lulu."

Maxie "I thought you were close to Spencer?"

Nathan "Yeah but he's a kid."

Maxie "So.  You have kids of your own."

Nathan "True.  I love our babies too."

Maxie "Speaking of our babies Georgie needs her daddy."

Nathan heard nothing and said "She's quiet."

Maxie "I can sense it.  Any moment she will need you.  She will cry and scream until you pick her up."

Nathan headed towards Georgie's room and the moment he got close enough she screamed "Dada dada dada dada dada dada."

Nathan picked her up "Daddy's here.  You're mommy is really good at knowing when you need something."

Maxie "I told you so.  I knew she needed you Nathan.  I need my baby."

Nathan carried Georgie to Maxie and she said "Mommy dada."

Nathan sat next to Maxie with her and Georgie "Mommy dada kiss."

Nathan looked at Georgie then at Maxie "Okay if she insists."

Nathan leaned over to kiss Maxie and Georgie clapped happily "Mommy dada kiss."

The following day Nathan learned he had a double shift at the PCPD and wouldn't be home for the whole day. 

Maxie laid there resting as she drifted off she envisioned a little child running through a pile of mud. 

She envisioned this child running freely and smiling until all she was blood.

This shook her awake fearfully and she called out for someone.

No one answered.

Maxie had no clue she was still dreaming and she called out.

Nathan grabbed her arm and said "It's 2 am what's wrong?"

Maxie "I had this horrible nightmare.  I saw a little boy running and playing but then it turned to blood.  I was shaken awake not realizing that was also a nightmare."

Nathan "Was it the baby?"

Maxie "I don't know.  I hope not.  I don't want to lose this baby.  I don't want you to lose anyone else."

Nathan "Lets go to the hospital.  I want to make sure you're okay."

As soon as Maxie got to the hospital she noticed that Monica was back in charge and she said "Maxie what brings you here?"

Nathan "A nightmare that makes me want to check on our baby."

Monica "Nathan I'm so sorry about your mother.  I didn't exactly get along with her but she was your mother."

Nathan "Thank you.  I still can't believe she's gone."

Maxie "Monica I don't feel right is dr Curtis here?"

Monica "I will have him paged."

Liz paged Dr Curtis and within minutes he came to Maxie "What seems to be the problem?"

Maxie "I'm cramping and I've been on bed rest for a while now after being traumatized by someone in Brooklyn."

Dr Curtis "Traumatized how?"

Maxie "I was held hostage in chains for a while."

Dr Curtis "Lets have a look at you and your baby."
