I must have fallen asleep on the couch, because when I woke up, the sun was streaming in through my living room windows. "Good morning." I peeked over the back of the couch, to see Colt in the kitchen, a tired smile on his face as he made coffee.

"Morning." I rolled off the couch and stood up, making my way into the kitchen. Before I could even do anything, Colt's arms wrapped around my waist, drawing me into a hug, I melted into him, immediately reciprocating. "You sleep okay?"

I felt Colt nod his head. "Your couch is very comfortable." I couldn't suppress the smile. He hadn't moved me to my room or slept on the other couch. He had stayed with me. "Plus, your snoring is cute"

I pulled back, shooting him a sarcastic eye-roll, almost immediately followed by a smile. "Fuck off."

Colt just chuckled, before doing the exact opposite. He grabbed onto my upper arms and pulled me closer. I complied. It was like we were teenagers; I couldn't get enough. I stood on my tiptoes to connect our lips, not wasting any time. Colt stumbled back slightly at my eagerness, chuckling into my lips.

My hands found themselves in Colt's hair and his gripped the back of my neck and my waist. I had never been one for kissing. I'd never understood the appeal, but now I got it. Colt knew what he was doing and the way he held me close to him, flush against his chest made my body feel as if it was on fire. I had never felt this way before. Ever.

"Skye," Colt mumbled against my lips, not breaking the kiss, which was beginning to grow in intensity. I hummed in response. "We gotta get to set." I reluctantly pulled away with a sigh. Colt looked just as disappointed as I felt. I let my arms fall to my sides, a pleasant smile on my face. I knew he was right; we had clearly lost track of time. "Don't you worry your pretty little head." He tapped me on the forehead, earning a giggle from me. "There's plenty more where that came from."

Without warning, he leaned forward, placing a quick peck on my lips. He had a mischievous grin on his face when he pulled away. "Colt Seavers..." I let out a dreamy sigh, before drifting off towards my room. He watched me closely as I sauntered away. "What are you doing to me?"

He just laughed in amusement. "Whatever you want me to..."

"Okay." I turned around to face him, leaning around my half-closed door with a beguiled expression. "Don't flatter yourself."

When we arrived at set, it seemed normal, despite everything that had happened recently. Colt and I discreetly made our way to Jody's trailer, a pout on his face when I rejected the kiss he leaned in for. "Not here," I hissed, pushing him up the stairs. "Are you insane?"

"You're no fun."

I shut the door in his face, making my way to the director's tent. "Jody!" Jody was standing at the monitors with Nigel. She looked up at me, clearly surprised by my buoyant demeanour. "Hey, can I talk to you for a minute?"

Jody nodded, bidding Nigel farewell, before following me outside the tent. "You look happy." I didn't reply, just gestured for her to follow me to her trailer. "What's going on?"

"You'll never believe this," I began, placing a hand on the door handle to the trailer. A couple people were milling about. It was too risky to say anything out here. "Do you mind?"

Jody nodded and I opened the door, gesturing for her to go inside first. She complied, a suspicious expression on her face. "You're not going to kill me are you?" I chuckled, shaking my head.

Once the door had shut behind me, I switched the lights on. The room was empty; Colt had clearly had the sense to hide. "You can come out, Colt."

Jody's eyes widened. "Colt?" Colt stepped out from the next room, smiling at us. "Oh my god... Colt. You're not dead?"

"I hope not." Colt chuckled at his own joke and I leaned forward to steady Jody. She looked like she had seen a ghost. "I have a lot to explain."

Jody turned to me. "You knew?"

I shook my head. "No, I found out yesterday." Jody sighed in bewilderment. "It's a long story, but Ryder thinks he's dead, so we can use that to our advantage."

"Advantage?"

"I have a plan," Colt interjected, stepping forward to stand beside me. Jody looked between us knowingly. "We're going to get him to confess."

"Alright everyone, let's get this show on the road!" I stood nearby to Jody as she addressed the crew. Everyone raced to their places. She turned to me. "You ready?"

I nodded. "Yep." Ryder walked over to us, doing a double take when he saw me. I smirked inwardly at his surprised expression, but kept a stoic expression on my facade. "Good morning."

He blinked uneasily as the assistant director ran over with the slate. "One seventy-four alpha, take two."

"Do I know you?" Tom's voice was nervous and I shook my head, eyes locking with his.

"No, I don't think so."

"Action!" Jody called out, elbowing me in the side in warning. "Stop."

I complied reluctantly, stepping back and averting my gaze from Ryder.

I tried to remain composed as Ryder did his monologue. As much as I wanted to, I couldn't deny his talent. He was really great at what he did.

"Cut!" Jody yelled through the megaphone, with a massive grin on her face. "Yes, so good, so good!" Ryder looked pretty pleased with himself as he walked over to us. "Thank you!"

"Was that it?" Ryder asked, embracing Jody in a hug. "Did we get it?" Jody nodded and Ryder shot me a triumphant smirk from over her shoulder. I remained emotionless, feigning grief.

"So, listen," Jody began, pulling away from Ryder as Gail approached. "All we have left is the alien truck coverage. Alright? That's it."

"No."

"Yep, we're gonna do the car jump." Jody's nonchalant attitude was clearly worrying Ryder, much to my satisfaction.

"No." Gail finally spoke up. "No, we're not doing that. Venti's gonna do that in VFX, so we're out of here—"

"—I know," Jody interrupted. "But we need his close-up." I took a step forward, blocking Ryder from walking back to his trailer. He glared at me. "Alright? We need his close-up, right here for the coverage. Alright, fifteen minutes tops. That's all I need."

Ryder and Gail were in a bit of a pickle now. They couldn't refuse. It wasn't a real stunt. They shared a look, before Ryder finally caved. "I'm not gonna do any driving, right?" Jody shook her head. "Because I get nauseous—"

"—It's a blue screen setup."

Gail and Tom shared one more look, before Gail let out an irritated sigh. "Fine."

It's getting really close to the end of the film. I'm starting to get sad.

I think i will do what I did with my Bullet Train fan fiction (Snakeskin) and add a few chapters and an epilogue set after the events of the film. But honestly, I think thee may only be 5 or 6 chapters left. But I said that about Snakeskin and ended up writing like 8 more chapters, so... who knows?

BTW, I'm going to Sydney next week (I live in Australia, so it's not that big a deal) and I'm planning to go to the opera house, because I want to recreate the picture of Colt doing the finger guns on the steps. I know it's stupid, but I'm a sucker for those sorts of things.

Maybe I'll show you guys if it's any good (I'll have to blur my face, of course. You know how it is).

Anyways, thanks so much for reading this story. I think at the time of me posting this, it's almost at 5000 reads, which insane! Thank you all so much!

(I'm kinda lazy, so I didn't check if I've used the top picture in an earlier chapter. If I have, let me know and I'll change it).
