I was walking alone along the corridor slowly, as my feet slid along the freshly waxed floors. I turned down Aria's offer to give her a tour of the school. The funny thing was, the school wasn't even that big; We all lived in a small town with a handful of students to roam the halls of North Wood High. It was highly unlikely that Aria would ONLY want a tour with me; a anti-social freak who's only instrest to do is books and live in the world of literature all alone in the perfect world of fantasy and the endless boundaries awaiting it.
I had a strange feeling about her...I didn't know what exactly, but the answer was on the tip of my tongue; ready to blurt out anytime and any place. my arms flexed as I tried to think it through. If only I knew who the couple's faces as they were walking by on that day where the 5 friends were brutally killed...or possibly murdered on someone's favour, in which case wasn't Rose's, for once.
Rose couldn't have killed those 5 students. She only punished them by attacking them with strict force. I guess she only wanted to pull the strings on whether or not she wanted students punished for the things that they did to her. In other words, she would never try to kill them, only if they were a threat, which in this case, no one has ever dared to step on her bad side...yet.
Gossip spreaded like a massive wildfire as students were whispering up a storm about Jared's unexpected death. And the girl who was about to accuse Rose of doing this had suffered from a severe heart attack. This person who did all of these over kill attacks did their punishments in a different way; they only killed, they never attack. Which makes Rose a bit of a good person, if you think ridiculously about it. But Rose nor that person never had solid evidence planted against them; making them obviously clean if they were ever accused.
"I have a strange feeling about that girl." Rose murmured one afternoon as we sat under a tree as we watched the soccer players kicking the ball around. They laughed as they cheered their team on, only to leave a look of judgement as if they KNEW that they were going to win...
"Me too. I can just feel it screaming at me." I whispered as I eyed Aria from across the field. She was alone of course, being the other new girl. But Rose was always the original new girl, who had us all dumbfounded when she attacked those two victims unexpectedly with no evidence that she did it. Rose still wouldn't tell me how she would hurt those people, but I respected her decision. I never wanted to expose her to anything dangerous...I guess I was being over-protective around people I care about, in which case they were a few people and things in my life that actually mattered to me. Such as my mother, Rose and the world of Literature.
I opened a page in my newspaper that I picked up in the morning. A headline that had me weak at the knees in nervousness stung me to my very core.
'5 STUDENTS DIE MYSTERIOUSLY'
I felt Rose tense up beside me as she looked at me anxiously. The news was everywhere. Those 5 students were honourary valedvictorians who won awards in sports, scholarships and medals. It was basically every teenager's dream to fullfill each of these goals and things that they had achieved. The article read that Jared Anders and Ashley Knight were together and were about to go to university, according to their parents in an interview a few days after their horrified death. There was a picture placed at the bottom of the article with the 5 friends posing near a statue in Montreal. And Ashley Knight was indeed the girl who was about to accuse Rose as Jared's killer...
She didn't even know that Rose wasn't killing him when she died...it was too late.
Rose was right: those people didn't deserve to die...They were good and innocent people that had done nothing wrong. I didn't undertand why that person did all these inexcusable attacks! It had me shaking to the bone as I took two handfuls of my hair in anger and frustration.
Then a thought popped into my head as I gasped at the thought.
What if they were trying to prove to Rose that they existed by killing those students randomly? It could be a possibility.
