Chapter 20

Lena and Ava walked out of the bedroom. Ava looked at their hands, their fingers interlaced. This was a feeling she wanted to remember. The feeling of being one with another. Something she'd never felt before.

Walking into the lounge room, they were stopped by the site in of Elana and Maya sitting on the sofa, in the middle of a passionate kiss. Lena coughed. Surprised, the two quickly separated to either end of soda, as if nothing had just happened.

Ignoring it, Ava went to the kitchen, while Lena sat on down on the sofa, turning on the TV. Maya then nodded her head to Elana, indicating for her to go to the kitchen for the details. Elana jumped up and ran to the kitchen, "I'll help you."

Maya said, "You guys were going pretty hard at it in there!" Lena's ears went red, pretending not to hear her. "Are you guys together now? As in official?"

Lena shook her head, "We haven't discussed it yet." Looking to the kitchen, "I'll give her some time."

Elana whispering to Ava, "My GOD. How are you still walking!? It sounded like you lost your soul in there!"

"I did..." said Ava smiling. She whispered back, "That was the best sex I had in my life! Even better than what I imagined! It just felt like we were in sync."

Elana giggle, "I'm so jealous!"

"Why? Seems you can get the same thing yourself?" pointing her chin towards where Maya was seated. "No?"

Elana blushed, "I don't know where we are going with this yet. Maybe? Anyway, enough about me. Are you guys an item now?" Ava shook her head.

"I don't know. I only know that I want to be with her. I'm thinking I might take her over to see Mama and Diego. What do you think? Would she agree?"

"Just ask her!"

"Lena? I'm going to my parents restaurant later. Would you like to come? The food is great there, so we can get some dinner?"

"Sounds great," Lena said with a smile.

Morgan's Cantina

"Mi nina!" Maria greeted Ava with a kiss on the cheek. "You came? And this is?"

"Mama... this is Lena... my... girlfriend?" Ava gave Lena a questioning look.

"Hi Mrs Morgan!" putting out her hand, "I'm Lena. Ava's girlfriend." Ava let out a sigh of relief and reached out to take her hand.

"She's pretty, " said Maria. "And she seems much nicer than that Jake fellow."

Chatting over dinner, Lena learned about Ava's childhood, including the embarrassing stories she didn't want shared. Maria took out her phone and showed Lena the baby pictures, including the one's of Ava butt naked in the bath.

Leaning over and whispering to Ava, "Your butt is still just as cute." Ava turned bright red, almost choking on her drink.

"Cut it out...my mother is right there!" said Ava, blushing and smiling. Lena laughed quietly and took hold of Ava's hand under the table.

Maria watch the two interacting, and smiled. She had not seen her daughter this happy in a long time. While she did have her misgivings about the nature of the relationship, she was glad that she had met someone who seemed to genuinely care for her.

After finishing dinner, Lena and Ava waved goodbye.

"What are you doing this next weekend? The weekend after the swimming meet." Lena asked.

"Training in the mornings, but then nothing much after that. Why? What did you in mind?"

"I thought we could go do to the Seaside Promenade. Maybe get some dinner? I'd like to show off my new girlfriend!"

"Message me when you get home." giving Ava a kiss.

"I will. Message me as well, let me know you got home safely." said Ava as she got into a ride sharing.
