"Emily Elizabeth Winston! Where are you? Get your ass back home now! Emily? Emi-" I hung up. I didn't want anything to do with Mom from now onwards. Or even my family. Mom changed when she saw my older brother, Timothy, lying on the floor with a tube of drugs. He wasn't breathing. Mom accused me of killing him. He was a drug-addict and an alcoholic. Dad told me to ignore it and that he will settle it on his own. But no. He just let Timothy continue sniffing drugs and drink until he's really drunk. I bet Dad just told me to stay away so that his multi-billionaire record label will continue to attract more talented singers and musicians. Mom. I killed him, didn't I? It's all my fault, isn't it. It's all. My. Fault.

"Urgh!" I slam my head on the seat of the cab.

"Is everything okay back there, Miss?" The driver seemed concerned about me.

"Oh. Um... Yeah. I'm uh, fine," I lowered my head so he wouldn't see how red my face is.

Once I reached the airport, I paid the driver, took out my bags from the back of the cab and head straight for the security check counter.

"Flight S-2718 ALPHA will be departing in 10 minutes time," Hmph. Better hurry up.
The queue was so long it took me 7 minutes to complete the security check. Luckily I didn't buy Starbucks first. Phew.

"Flight S-2718 ALPHA will be departing in 2 minutes time," I was already pass the gate when I heard that announcement.

I boarded the plane and brought along my 'Fun Backpack' which consists of an iPod, a tablet, wireless headphones, a laptop, a book, a personal handphone and finally, lots of snacks. Like, who can survive without a bag of chips? Okay probably myself only.

"Your ticket please," the woman asked with a stern look. I just gave her my ticket and walked all the way to the back of the airplane. I bought the 'First Class' ticket but by a different airline. I hope it's worth it.

The minute I reached my seat, I put down my bag on the side table and dropped myself onto the soft, comfortable chair. So THIS was what they meant by 'Chair Bed'. Interesting.

"The plane will be taking off in less than a minute. All passengers are to put on their seatbelts located on the bottom left of your seat. We hope you will have an enjoyable and safe flight."

I quickly got up after hearing that announcement and put on my seatbelt. I didn't like boarding planes. I find it really scary. What if the plane gets hit by lightning and crashes into the ocean, just like in the movies? What if I end up in an island with all sorts of creatures like Jurassic Park? Okay. Calm down, Emily. You're becoming paranoid.

The airplane then started to move forward. My hands automatically grabbed the armrests of my seat. I shut my eyes tightly and did not open my eyes until I heard the Captain said "And... we're off".

I slowly relaxed my arm muscles and dared myself to look out the window. We were directly under an ocean. But, I wasn't as scared as before. The view was breathtaking.

"We will now be walking down the aisle to serve your food as well as other needs," the same woman from before said.

When the waitress came to my seat, she gave me a double cheeseburger, a hashbrown and iced lemon tea. Guess that's my brunch (breakfast and lunch) today. Not bad.

After I finished everything I cleared my tray (more like the waitress did. Thanks though) and opened up my bag of chips and turned on the television in front of me. All they showed was cartoons and dramas. No action movies. Besides, they were all in KOREAN. So even if I watch I won't even understand a single thing they're saying.

By the time an episode of Korean Spongebob Squarepants ended. My bag of chips were gone. Must have finished it all. I then took out my headphones and my iPod, not bothering to check my messgaes from my family or relatives. I started listening to my 'Country Songs' playlist while lying down on my chair bed to calm myself down.

--------------------------------

"Dear passengers, we will be arriving shortly to Incheon Airport, South Korea. You are reminded to not move about until the plane has landed." I woke up at the sound of the woman's voice. How annoying.

I got up and found a chocolate bun on my table. Probably my evening snack. I looked out the window and saw bright lights that lit up the city. FINALLY. I have reached Korea. I took out my Canon camera and took pictures of the night scenery (and yes, I like photography, not just music) so that I could send them to Amelia, my younger sister, whose dream was to stay in Korea her whole life. Basically she's in love with everything Korean. Literally everything.

I felt the plane tilt down a bit. As usual, my hands automatically grabbed my chair bed and my eyes shut like a window. Fortunately, we touched down safely. Thank God. All of a sudden, all the passengers stood up, grabbed their bags and small suitcases and headed for the exit. I too did the same, but I was at the end of the line. I didn't really like to be in between people.

When I reached the exit, I smiled and sarcastically said "Great service. Loved it," to the stern-looking woman before heading down the steps. She just shows me the same face as before.

Once I exited the terminal, I started searching for a person who held up a sign with my name on it. I couldn't see my name anywhere. All I saw was fans holding up signboards that had Korean words on them.

When I tried to take out my phone and call the person, I heard someone call my name. It sounded like a guy's voice. And when I turned to the other side a rather tall, skinny (and very handsome too) guy appeared with a small signboard with my name nicely written with a purple ink marker.

"Are you Miss Emily?" The tall stranger asked. His English was very fluent. I bet even better than mine.

"Uh... yeah. I'm Emily. Are you Mr In? The principal? You look too young to be one though," I said, analysing him with my sharp eyes.

"No, no! I'm not Mr In. I'm just one of the school students. I'm YoonJae. Mr In wasn't able to make it today. So he just sent me here to pick you up," he said. His voice is so smooth... is he in choir or something?

"Oh, okay. Um. Shall we get going then?" I carried my backpack and one of my suitcases, leaving the rest to YoonJae.

"We shall, Madame," he then carried the rest of the load, leading the way to the car with a small grin.
