Madeline's POV:
Another night of sleep with no Taylor. I really miss her. I know touring is her job but, I didn't think it'd be this hard to be away from her. She always helps me with my anxiety, my sports and she always sings to me when I have nightmares. I've had a couple nightmares but, I just sang the song that Taylor sings to me and it helped. But, it's not the same. Today is also the last day of school. I get dressed and rush downstairs. "Hey, Maddie. I'm going to pick you up today." My mom says. Usually my dad picks me up on Fridays but he has to work. "Okay. Can we call Tay when you pick me up?" I say. "Sure. Remember, she's busy with the tour so she might not answer." She says. "Okay. Thanks mom!" I say. We get in the car and go to school. "Have a great day, Mads. Love you." My mom says. "Love you." I say. It's past lunch time now and I'm going to PE. I get to the gym and I can't breathe properly. I'm having a panic attack. I quickly run to the bathroom and pull out my Ipod. I click on Taylor's contact and wait for her to answer. Hopefully, she will.
Taylor's POV:
I just finished the first day of the 1989 World Tour. I was getting dressed in comfy clothes when my phone rings. I looked at the caller ID: Mads💜. Something's wrong or she just wants to talk. I answered the call. "Hey, Mads. What's up? Isn't it your last day of school?" I say. "T-Tay, I-I-I-n-n-need-h-help." She stutters. I can hear her crying. "Baby, I need you to breathe with me, okay?" I say. "Breathe in and out. In and out." I say. I hear her trying to breathe. "I-i-i-c-c-can't!" She says. "Hold on sweetie." I say. I hang up the phone and immediately book a flight home. I get home in Nashville. I don't stop home though. I get my car and drive to Maddie's school. I get there and ask her friends where she is. I go to the bathroom and see my little sister curled up in a ball, trying to make herself small and rocking herself back and forth. Her breathing's still not normal so I sit next to her and wrap her in a hug. "Shhh. I'm here. You're okay. Shhh." I say. After a while, she eventually calmed down. "Tay, what are you doing here?" She asks. "After you called me with your panic attack, I decided to fly home to be with you instead of helping you over the phone." I say. "But, what about your tour?" She asks. "I'm not worried about that right now." I say. I take her home and my mom has a concerned look. "Tay, what happened? And why are you home so early?" She asks. "Well, Maddie called me while she was having a panic attack and I decided to come home to help her through it instead of helping her over the phone." I explain. "Maddie, are you okay?" She asks. "Yeah. Thanks to Tay." She says. I love my little sister with all my heart.
