The Monaco gp had finally ended. Kimi Raikkonen was p1, Sebastian Vettel p2 and Y/N p3. It wasn't easy for Y/N. This gp and getting into formula one. Being a female driver led to her getting a lot of abuse from misogynistic "fans" and she couldn't even become friends with other drivers without people saying that she was just talking to them to sleep with them. This gp didn't help either. During the 30th lap another driver hit the rear of her car which led to her hitting a barrier luckily she only damaged her front wing and was able to get back into 3rd from 10th. However none of the cameras showed that she was hit and none of the commentators talked about it either leading people to think that she just "wasn't a very good driver" even though she made it back up to 3rd and was constantly getting podiums.

The interview with Kimi and Seb had started. They got asked questions on the cars performance and were praised on how well they did.Seb gave detailed responses and joked around and Kimi gave very short answers and just wanted to leave.

Y/N didn't enjoy these interviews either because she is either ignored completely even if she finishes p1 or she is faced with abuse and criticism from interviewers.

"This is a question for Y/N" an interviewer says. This could either be a genuine question or a question that is just going to lead to criticism. 

"Do you think that women belong in this sport?"

"Of course I do."

"Well I think most people in here will agree with me when I say that women should just stay at home and cook." He starts laughing

"Well women are just as capable as men and are better in some cases"

"Well based on your performance you shouldn't be here."

"what's that supposed to mean?!"

"woah woah I think that everyone should just calm down. Let's just move on. Misogyny isn't welcome here." Seb says and Kimi just stares at the man looking very p!ssed off.

"Well Y/N, you're a sh!t driver lets just face it. I mean you managed to hit a barrier when no other driver today did. you're the only one who f*cked up" the interviewer continues.

"I was f*cking hit into the barrier and I still got on the podium!"

"lets just move on from this misogynistic d*ck" Kimi adds

"You probably slept with someone to get here or paid" The interviewer keeps going

"stfu!"

"Your ex should have just got rid of you that night."

"Get him out!" Seb says angered that this has gone on for as long as it has.

Your eyes start tearing up.

"He would have done us all a f*cking favour. You don't deserve to be here. This is a sport for men!" The interviewer keeps going on and on.

!TW OVER!

You storm out of the room and Kimi and Seb go to follow you. Kimi is last to walk out whispering "Vitun idiootti" 

Just as they are about to leave you storm back in heading straight towards the interviewer. Before anyone can process what's happening you punch him breaking his nose and multiple teeth.

"say that sh!t to me again you f*cking c*nt!" you punch after each word

You are pulled off by Seb and escorted out while everyone is looking in horror however when you look at Kimi he is looking at you with a smirk and Seb looks more worried about you than anything else.

*The next day*

"Y/N! Y/N!" you are Called over by a female interviewer

"can you talk to us about what happened yesterday?"

Even though you were told not to talk about it you decided to anyway.

"All I'm going to say is that he got karma that was very long overdue." You smile and walk away. The interviewer is also smiling while the men around her looks furious

When you got home you looked at the news on your phone and male reporters were saying how you should be punished for your actions and that you hurt an" innocent man" but female reporters were praising you and sharing their experiences and evidence of what he has been doing which led to him being fired and you getting no punishment much to your surprise.

Kimi and Seb had text you to ask if you were ok and also praise you for sticking up for yourself and other women in the industry.

You had dm's on instagram from mothers thanking you because they had daughters who wanted to be f1 drivers in the future and you've shown them that they can do it and to not take misogyny from others.

Maybe things will change in this sport. but unfortunately there will always be those who ruin it.

I see men post about how female fans have ruined the sport way too much and I hope that soon we can have a female driver and people can begin to see that women do deserve to be in this sport and they have as much of a right as men. So please remember that you deserve to watch this sport and enjoy it and also remember to always stick up for yourself!
