After our little kiss, we had both entered the house with a awkward tension on our heels. It made it even more awkward when we had kissed, because he had just told me he wasn't in his right state of mind. Did he think kissing me was a mistake? was saving me a mistake? Thoughts were running through my head like water, and yet I couldn't come up with a single conclusion.
I glanced at his phone that was on the dusty bedside table, checking the time. 4:56. Great, almost five and I haven't even slept a second.
I was sleeping on a freaking queen sized bed, and yet Harry insisted on sleeping on the floor, stating that he doesn't mind it. I understand that he is a vampire, but It still nags at the back of my mind.
I mustered all the courage I had, before peeking my head from the blanket and quietly getting up and walking to his poor excuse of a bed. He had an odd assortment of tattered blankets, and a light blue pillow where his head was resting on.
"Harry," I called quietly, nudging him lightly with my hand. He let out a small grumble before resuming back to his sleeping state.
I cursed at myself quietly, hating that I was waking him for the stupidest reason.
"Harry, please wake up." I said slightly louder than before. This was enough to wake him. Harry's bright green eyes peeked through his eyelids, meeting my stair in a second.
"Rose? is something wrong?" He rasped, suddenly sitting up and looking around for any sign of trouble.
I shook my head quickly, heat rising to my cheeks. "Uh, no. Nothing's wrong, actually." I said quietly. He visibly relaxed before turning back to me with a confused stare.
"What is it, Love?" He asked softly. My heart melted at his voice, making me feel absolutely embarrassed at what I was about to say to him.
"erm, I ... Uh, I was just wondering... Uhm..." I trailed off, my nerves getting the best of me.
"Go on." He encouraged me quietly. I blushed even more.
"I was wondering if you'd like to join me in bed-Not in a nasty way though! I just can't stand watching you sleep on the floor like this, while I have a bed to myself. You don't have to, But I -"
"I'd love to, Rose." Harry said softly, getting up from the floor and grabbing his pillow. I sighed in relief as we both climbed into bed, Harry to the left and me to the right. We laid there, my back facing him for at least thirty minutes before he put am arm around me and pulled me into his chest. Harry nuzzled his face in the crook on my neck, letting out a sigh of content before soft snores were felt on my skin.
It didn't take long until I was softly pulled into a deep slumber, sleep drowning all my fears and concerns running through my restless mind.
~~~~~~
I woke up with a hand on my throat, choking me. My eyes widened, looking up to see Harry with a dark look in his eyes while he leaned all of his weight onto my neck. I started to gasp for air, scratching at his arms and hands, begging quietly for him to release me from his death grip.
"Quiet now, Rose. This will all be over soon, just stay still and it will all go away." He whispered venomously, his breath hitting my face. I slowly started to lose consciousness, Black dots appearing in my line of vision.
My eyes started to flutter shut, my body stilling from squirming as I gave up on fighting back. I could feel my muscles go limp underneath his touch, my eyes gazing into his black eyes as he glowered into my own.
"Harry," I wheezed weakly, my hands wrapping around his wrists and attempting to snap his focus from killing me. His eyes never faltered, however.
Fear was etched across my face as I slowly faded into a world of darkness and unknown. His once mesmerizing green eyes had turned into something dark, and dangerous. It frightened me to know that the person that I had began to trust had killed me.
