I woke up to "Baby Shark" blasting full volume from my phone and groaned. My sisters had set it to my ringtone and I hadn't gotten a chance to change it. I was actually going to murder them. The notifications that popped up were all from work which meant I needed to get there ASAP. How fun for me. By the time I wheeled my bike over to the side of the motel, the crazy heat wave had started. Inside, I found a note saying I needed to make sure room 13 was ready because some special person was coming to stay. Like anyone important would come work at this rundown motel anyway. While waiting in the elevator I scrolled through my phone, laughing when I saw the group chat notifications. 

Asher: yo are we meeting at Bronte's today or what

Ocean: Obviously

Asher: whatever just making sure

Ocean: Ofc you forgot

Asher: stfu 

Ocean: 😝

Kai: 2:30?

Chloe: yeah

Me: Cool

I put the phone away with a smile on my face knowing that I'd find 50 more messages later of Ocean and Ash arguing about something dumb. Room 13 was pretty small so it wouldn't take too long. I got out my master key and easily opened the door. Suddenly I stopped in my tracks.
