You stood in front of one of Mingi's friends who was working in the same hospital. This is the one way you can think to get away from Mingi.

"Sunbae, please change me with someone else. I can't work with Mingi anymore. He is not a professional. You know how he distracted me." You said looking at him. He looked at you with a sigh.

"What can I do, Areum? You are arranged by the chief. I can't do anything. To be honest with you, I also think the same. He needs treatment for his obsession." He said mentioning his obsession with you.
"Why don't you talk to your father? It might help." He suggested. You sighed knowing that he couldn't help you too.

"Then... Excuse me." You said walking out of the room. Hongjoong just watching the poor girl.

As you were walking out of Hongjoong's room, you saw someone sitting on the waiting chair. The person looks familiar.

"Seungmin? What are you doing here? Is Jeong-In, okay?" You asked a bit worried since they two always together no matter what.

"I.N. is fine. He went to the toilet. It just... Hyunjin hyung got a high fever. We take him to check-up and he got warded." He explained. You feel glad to hear Jeong-In was okay but somehow feel bad for Hyunjin. The doctor came out after a while and saw you.

"How is he, Doc?" Seungmin got up and asked. You were also curious to hear it.

"He needs to be ward until he gets better. And Miss Areum. You are charged to be his doctor." He said which shocked you.

"But chief, I'm from another department." You said since it was not your department.

"I know what happened in my hospital. As a doctor, you can't avoid any issues. But now you are charged to be his doctor. If someone isn't satisfied with my decision, get them to see me." He said and walked close to you.
"You know what I mean. I'm helping you." He whispered before walking away. You sigh relieved to hear that.

"Let's go to see him." You said to open the door. You saw Hyunjin was sleeping quietly. You look at the information board on the bed.
"Malnutrition? What did he do?" You asked Seungmin.

"He... Overworked. He said he misses you and he distracts himself with practicing." Seungmin said. You sigh and look at the sleeping man.

"He will be awake soon. Go get something for him. No cold water." You said.
"Take this." Seungmin looks at you as you hand him your credit card.
"Get something for you and Jeong-In too." He thanked you for the treat and walked out of the room. You went to the side of the bed and stared at him. You sat down for a while and stared at his face. Watching his peaceful sleep makes you smile.

"Don't hurt yourself, Hyunjin. I'm sorry for everything I said to you that night. Please stay healthy." You get up and lean closer hesitant but slowly you kiss his forehead. Little did you know, someone was witnessing it. His eyes were filled with rage to see you kiss him.

"Unnie, can you talk to Mingi? I know he will listen to you." You had enough to see Mingi bothering you. The only person who can help you is his ex-girlfriend. She looks at you with sympathy.

"Areum. As you know, I and Mingi are done. I'm not sure if he will listen to me or not." She said which makes you beg her more.

"Please, Y/N unnie. He became like that because of you too. Please help me." You said grabbed her hand. She sighs while looking at you.

"I'll try." She said which made you smile a bit even though you are sure she will succeed.

After meeting with Mingi's ex-girlfriend, you went to the lab where your teams are. Hongjoong glanced up at you when heard someone enter the lab. You smile at him and go to your desk mate.

After finishing the meeting, you went home a bit late because you went to meet your parents who were on night duty. You go out of the building and about to get a cab when someone's car stops in front of you.

"I'm on the way home, get in." He said with a smile. You look at him with a smile before getting into the car. You can't deny your feelings to see him pick you up every day.

"Where are you from?" You asked looking at his side. As the days pass, you notice that he is good-looking and a nice person. His long hair suits his personality.

"Jisung's birthday party. Did you forget it?" You gasped and forgot about the party.

"Jihyo did tell me about it. How come I forgot about it? He might be disappointed with me." You said feel a bit guilty for not giving him something on his birthday.

"Don't worry about it. I got something on your behalf." He said without looking at you. You were confused by his words.

"Why?" You asked.

"I don't want to ruin my future girlfriend's reputation." You just shook your head with his statement. He glances at you with a smile. You had enough of his sweet talk. You hear that hundreds of times but still he still not proposed to you yet even though you didn't say anything about rejecting him.

"Yeah, right. Anyway, Hongjoong gave me two days off. I have made a plan for Jeong-In. Maybe a little picnic with him." You said. Hyunjin just nodded at your plan. Somehow you have been busy and didn't have time for him too.

"Can I tag along?" His question makes you a bit surprised.

"I-"
"It's okay if you want to" He said cutting you off but you cut him off back.
"The more the merrier. Should I- we go together? I mean with the others too. Seungmin, Felix, and your other friends. What do you think?" You suggested that make him smile. You look away from him with a smile plastered on your face. Suddenly you feel the way home is taking a while.

Lately, his presence makes you feel safe and makes you a bit nervous yet makes your life better. You always think about seeing him again and again. You feel like your life is not complete when didn't see him.

"Sure." He said smiling wide.
