Becca's POV

My baby girl Guinevere has fallen asleep in Orpheus' arms as he paces back and forth between the six hospital beds, growling at the werewolf doctors to work faster.

I was exhausted, I needed sleep, but a kick of adrenaline brought me out of my slump.

I couldn't heal this many all at once, even I had my limitations. So I focus on Sabrina first, since I know Erebon will want me to save her, if any of them were to live.

The Sub-Alphas were all beaten to death. In the end, Sabrina had killed a polar bear – and she lost her life because of it. Alice and Noah were in the next room, being looked after by some nurses who were distracting them while I went to work.

I open my pouch of witchwood ashes, I decide I'll focus on Sabrina's headwound first. It was very, very bad.

All of them had effectively died, but in the supernatural world, you could still resuscitate them. The brains were protected for a few more hours even after the heart stopped beating, the blood moved itself with the last remnants of their wolves trying to revive them from the inside.

I haven't even started; I've only reached out my hand to Sabrina's face when the machine starts beeping with a rapid heartbeat as Sabrina gasps awake, violently thrashing.

The doctors rush over, including Orpheus, he stares on with wide eyes.

I help heal her head injury while the doctors try to keep her awake, giving her Awstone for the pain.

In the next ten minutes, for every two consecutive minutes that pass, each machine by the beds of the Sub-Alphas starts going off – beeping – like clockwork.

Erebon wakes next.

Then Laoch.

Sashca.

Zoran.

Quillon.

Orpheus ends up slumped by the seat of his brother, cradling our baby while resting his face in the covers by Erebon's temple, almost completely knocked out with the relief.

I come over to his side and Orpheus sits back in the big couch so I can snuggle in with him and the baby, too in shock like him to say anything at all. But also filled with a wave of relief.

We share a glance and Orpheus just shakes his head, gulping down his tears as we both look at our little angel.

I don't know if it's her doing, but my heart says so.

Them all coming back to life?

This was a miracle.

Eliza's POV

Seth had been knocked out for 24 hours, to say that I was furious was an understatement.

I had wanted him to be careful in his dealing with the bears, instead, he almost fucking died.

Jack was angry too.

Seth and I's daughters knew nothing of the connection between the bears he went after and my past, only Jack had been told the full truth.

I dreaded the day they would learn.

Lee-Anna is sleeping soundly, wrapped up like a burrito in her cot, watched over by Breanna, Cali and Delores as they wait for her to wake. They enjoyed learning how babies worked, which was very cute. However, I couldn't relax with Seth knocked out, laid out in our bed, so still, his breaths shallow. I still had no clue what happened in Keatfur.

The Beta's said they were not allowed to speak to me about the circumstances.

It made me angrier, but I know Seth had put in the order for a reason.
