I was honestly incredibly nervous as I rang the doorbell, balancing Abby on my hip. The house I was standing in front of was large, painted white with pillars Infront of the front door that kept the entrance dry and a beautiful red painted door, on which a wreath of lametta recited.
I tugged at my dress, a festive blue lace one with little gold appliques on it, Abby in a matching one just a shade lighter than me. We had to make a good first impression or it might ruin everything.
"Okay Babygirl, best behaviour, okay?" i whispered quietly stroking over her little curls, as she put both fingers to her mouth, making herself smile widely, little dimples on her cheeks.
God how I loved my little girl. Well not so little anymore. She was gonna be a big sister soon after all. I still couldn't believe it. I knew it was really soon and we had agreed not to tell anyone yet since we wanted to be on the safe side of things fist but oh how I already loved having his baby.
I was carrying the product of our love under my heart and I knew this would be a forever thing. He might have made my life difficult just a few years ago but now i hadn't only gained a boyfriend and baby daddy but also my best friend, my soulmate, the person who knew me best.
I had asked my mom and he had not asked her to come up with his present and oh i only loved him more for it. My thoughts were interrupted by the door that got swung open a vaguely familiar face coming into my view.
I recognized him from football games when i was a freshman and he really hadn't changed much. 6'3 wild brown beard and broadly built, Jason Kelce was undeniable my boyfriend's brother.
"Taylor!" he grinned his voice booming as he pulled me into a warm welcoming hug, careful not to squish the child sitting on my hip. "So good to see you again, I really thought if i ever did it would be on some big stage or running away cause you saw Travis again so nice we meet under such circumstances."
I couldn't help but giggle at the image nodding. "Hey, Jason, yeah, I don't think any of us could have predicted this outcome, but I wouldn't have it any other way" I smiled stepping into the hallway as he let me in sighing as the nice warm inside of the house.
IT felt and smelt just s homey as it looked. "And you must be Abby huh? I'm uncle Jason" He grinned waving at her as she hid in my shoulder, shyly making me laugh softly.
All the tension and worry from just a few minutes ago had fallen off of me and i managed to relax. Hopefully the evening would continue like this.
I had been nervous ever since Travis had asked me to spend New Year's Eve with his family but I had been just as excited as well. He had told me he wanted to introduce his family to the family he was born into and God he knew just what to say to make my heart melt.
"Say hi baby" i whispered to her quietly and hesitantly she looked up, resting her head on my shoulder and gave him a little shy wave attempting his name "j-j-jas" he grinned widely nodding.
"That actually sounds even cooler, gotta tell that to Kylie so she can call me that. You guys just put your jackets there and shoes there an there are slippers so your feet don't get cold. Then you just come whenever you're ready. Okay?"
I nodded smiling thanking him, as I peeled Abby out of her little coat and shoes, before pulling my own off and hanging both of them. I picked her back up alongside the presents I had brought as a belated Christmas thing as she looked up at me with wide eyes.
"Mommy who?" she babbled pointing to the door through which Jason had just left and little smile tugged at my lips. "He's the brother of Travis, he has invited us to celebrate with him and his wife and their kids"
She took a moment before her eyes lit up and she looked up to me again "Twavis?!!" i nodded grinning and kissed her head walking into the Big Livingroom area down the hallway, where Jason had disappeared to.
The room was huge, decorated in glimmering and glittering lights, adorned with a huge sofa on which I could already see two little girls playing, Travis in the middle of them looking up and meeting my eyes instantly.
A wide smile spread across his face as he jumped up and came over to us and i couldn't help but reciprocate it. God how could I not smile from ear to ear when he looked at me like this.
Like I was his everything, his sun, stars and moon, his universe, his girl.
Before I could greet him, Abigail perked up, recognizing him, probably by his beard and reached out to him with her little hands "Twavy!" she squeaked joyfully; her little cheeks flushed red from the quick change in temperature.
"Abby!" he grinned and scooped her up, throwing her in the air once, making her giggle like crazy before setting her on his hip, her hands holding onto the fabric of his shirt, while she looked up at him with her big blue eyes and oh how i could have melted just observing the both of them.
"Oh my God Is that, Abby?!? You got so big!" a familiar female voice rang through the room and i turned around to face donna, feeling myself smile seeing her. We had been in a book club together until I had had Abby and she had last seen her when she was just two weeks old.
She reflected my smile and wrapped me in a soft hug "good to see you again sweetheart" she smiled and i just smiled, relaxing into her warm hug.
It was truly crazy how time played its little games sometimes. Just a one and a half years ago I had tried to avoid her so she wouldn't connect that Travis and I were in the same age and both single, and now I was carrying her grandchild.
"Nice to see you too" i smiled and pulled back so she could also greet Abby. She went over and waved at her, to which my daughter, just like earlier with Jason hid, only this time it was in Travis strong shoulder.
I couldn't help but awe at how easily she trusted him, how comfortable she was around him. This wasn't one of these weird stories where a 20 years older step dad fell for his step daughter, this was about two people finding their way together after jumping a multitude of obstacles, and starting a new family together, no matter the biological relative status we had.
"She's just a bit shy at first but she'll be a whirlwind in a moment or two, isn't that right girlie? Oh, and she likes to be able to get to know new things herself so we can just do this and see how it goes" he explained to his mother, his voice softening so incredibly much when he talked to Abby.
He gently turned Abby towards his mother until Abby reached out for Donna, feeling very sociable today apparently, which was amazing. I had fed her earlier just so she wouldn't get hungry within the first few minutes we were at Jason and Kylies house. Whipping out my breasts to feed her here wasn't an option after all.
Plus, due to this they didn't feel like they were too sore anymore and wouldn't require an emptying from Travis anymore so he couldn't use that as an excuse to pull me to the bathroom or something.
Of course, i needed him and loved every second of it but it was still his brother's house and there were babies plus i had to make a good first impression, pretty unlikely if I let him whisk me away and fuck me during the first official meeting.
He Gently leant down, so Abby could reach Andrea, my daughter taking a moment before she reached out giggling as Donna scooped her up, while Travis hand immediately flew to her back worrying about her falling, though of course his mom knew what she was doing.
"Wait she looks like somethings wrong, lemme just" he reached down into one of the pockets of his cargo pants and whipped out a pack of what turned out to be toothing cookies and gave it to her stroking her little head.
God it was honestly so attractive whenever he acted in "dad mode" as i secretly started to call it.
Donna turned towards me, her mouth agape widely.
"How did you do that??"
