*A Few Months Ago*
That was a bright day in Karachi. The sun was at its full might, illuminating the horizon with its yellowish-orange hue. There was so much hustle and bustle at the Karachi Airport combined with the noises people made by their continuous chats and footsteps which sounded like a weird melody. A part of this crowd was the Shah Sher Zaman's family who were waiting for their only son to arrive at the airport safely with the garlands of flowers in their hands. Their faces were pleased and beaming with excitement.
A while later, the youngest daughter gestured her hand towards the corner and everyone followed her movement with their heads. Their faces lit up seeing a tall, handsome, graceful, and charming man walking ahead by dragging his luggage. He was wearing a black shirt with black jeans, his black hair delicately combed behind, giving him a mature and vibrant look.
He smiled seeing his family already looking out for him. He had missed them. He had been recalling the time he spent with everyone in all those five years. His grandmother, mother, father, and little sister; they were the love of his life and he was happy to be among them again.
His tall frame appeared in the foyer of the airport. His grandmother came forward and cupped his face before she kissed his forehead. Her eyes were wet as she sensed the feel of her grandson near her.
"Masha Allah. These four years have made my Shah all grow up into a handsome man. Every evil eye off," she murmured, repeatedly kissing his face.
He held her hands and squeezed them. "AssalamoAlaikum. How are you?"
"Walaikum Assalam, mere laal. I am absolutely fine after seeing you. And I am not going to let you go away now," she replied, many tears fell from her eyes as she did this.
"Amma Saien is absolutely right, Shah. Now you are going to live with us," his mother repeated what his grandmother said.
Shah grinned and nuzzled her into a tight hug. Even he missed them and now he had no plan for now to leave them. "You don't worry now, Bi Jan. I am going to live near you from now on."
He met with his father and sister too and every passing instant, he felt the loss he chose for himself by staying away from them. But not now. He wouldn't do that anymore. The family was his heart and he ached his heart enough.

The hometown and the feel of its soil after so many years made you feel out of this world. That was what happened with Shah as well. When he breathed in the familiar surroundings of Pakistan and Karachi, it caused him to be at ease. Like a new surge of happiness and contentment had engulfed him. Now been on his way to Zaman Haveli and seeing the some common and some unknown routes and buildings, he enjoyed this half an hour voyage. The trees, the greenery, the shadow of the sun, and the shallow wind; that was what the beauty of Pakistan and now he wanted to relish it completely.
