Hello to anyone that clicked on this book and would like to read it. I sincerely hope you'll enjoy it, but before you give it a try, I invite you to read this little preamble to set a few things straight.

To begin with, this book is aiming at a mature public (TW listed at the end of this note). As the story mainly follows the daily life of Hana Hoshino, a young girl who discovers the ups and downs of life, certain subjects (notably drugs and alcohol) are described in a sometimes "romanticized" way (as any person discovering it might do). Needless to say, I don't encourage any of these practices. I remind you that this is a BOOK, not an example to be followed. So please, if you're not fine with this, do NOT read AEP.

I do my best to correct typos and spelling mistakes, but a few may still slip through. That is because this book is a translation. English is not my first language, and even though I do my best to still provide you with something that - I hope - is still understandable, it may not always be the case. So please, be indulgent with me (and if you have the possibility to read the original version. in French, please go ahead <3)

Âmes en peine will have a total of 38 chapters, all already written by me between January 2023 and April 2024. I'll try to post them every Friday evening, at around 20:00.

I would like to ask you to be respectful in the comments, both to other readers and to myself. I don't want unconstructive criticism aimed solely at putting me or one of my characters down. If you don't like it, please stop reading.

Of course, you're welcome to debate amongst yourselves, but please be polite, as I don't want the comment area to turn into a battlefield (;

Don't hesitate to give me your feedback at the end of the chapter, it would make me super happy!

Enjoy your reading ♡
